Somehow I don't think we'll be visiting it in the series though and tbh the last thing we need is for Dany to take another detour, but it'd be good to know more about it. But if I conjured a guess as to why, I'd say its a result of left over dark magic from the Doom of Valyria. They seem to be the closest city to Valyria that still exists.
