Rickon Martell
In ACOK, Tyrion sends the captain of the Lannister guards at KL, Vylarr, to Riverrun along with the returning Cleos Frey. It's been a while since I've read ASOS of AFFC, but is he ever mentioned again?Cleos Frey, along with Brienne, escorted Jaime out of Riverrun when Catelyn released Jaime. I don't recall what happened to the Lannister guardsman though, most likely he was killed and Cleos taken hostage by Riverrun

It's been a while since I've read ASOS of AFFC, but is he ever mentioned again? You mean when he returned from KL with the 4 that were to get Jaime out? After they were found out (and the 4 were killed)the others were held as captives. We did not hear of any of them being ransomed, nor was there any mention of anyone that the Tully's had as being release when Jaime came back and RR was turned over to the Frey's. Did ned lead the van at the battle of the trident? I don't think we were every told who had the Van. There is nothing in the Wiki about the van.http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Battle_of_the_Trident

He did have to fight to get to Robert (who went charging after R) and he got to Robert after he had killed R.

I was trying to put together the events around the Trident and the Sack of KL, and I believe I read that Ned appeared late for the battle. I'll look for the passage. Luckily Ned was killed in AGOT so that narrows down the search.

Philip Baratheon
What did Jorah Mormont do during Robert's rebellion? He was certainly old enough, considering how much older than Dany he is - the wiki gives his birth date as "around 255AL" which would have made him about 27 when the war started. We don't have any concrete information about when Jeor abdicated in his favour (I've always associated it with his heroics at Pyke but that might be erroneous). In any case, he's from House Mormont of Bear Island, vassals of the Stark family and seemingly very loyal. It stands to reason then that Jorah would have, either under his father or as Lord of Bear Island in his own right, fought against Aerys II when Ned called his banners. I doubt he would have not done so, as Ned's issue with him is purely the result of his dabbling with slavers, we surely would have found out if he had refused the call.Yet when he meets Daenerys, she doesn't call him out as one of the Usurper's dogs, does she? His treachery as she perceives it is for spying for Robert, not fighting for him or bending the knee which is what Barristan was chastised for. Jorah had been good company to Dany after she married Drogo, and he pledged his sword to Viserys and later Dany herself. He It was spying on Dany, even in Qarth after he pledged his sword to her, that was taken as betrayal.
