Rhymes of Ice and Fire v. 13

Buckwheat

Recommended Posts

What is dead never dies,

always new, again will rise

with laughs and cries,

japes and sighs,

we're reborn with more good rhymes.

For the honour of the mighty Peach we fight,

though HBO won't listen our plight,

though the vengeance is nowhere in sight,

nobody can say that we have not tried.

Rhyme away, bardies Old and New! :commie: And refrigerator.

Reposting this here for our incoming new bardies ...

We need to ask our good new bards, and now I have a chance:

MrsManderly, VitezSaša, KhaleesiDany, and Franz -

and other ones, that I might have missed on the way -

do you allow your cute rhymes to wander from Westeros away?

On our pretty rhymy site, that lies linked in my post,

they'll find their new home right away, and Baelish'll be their host.

In short, all these songs are reposted on the site linked in mine, Dracarya's, Lady's and Sunshine's signatures. If you want them to appear there, you can just like this post, otherwise write a PM to any of us or in this thread (also if you do not want them to appear under these usernames, or if you have similar problems with it). ;)

(Although my fellow bardies may already know this one, I felt like it belonged here.)

Rhaegar to Lyanna at Harrenhal (although it is said that he preferred sad melodies ;))

You can joust, you can fence, having the time of your life!

See that girl, watch that scene, digging the jousting queen!

Summer day and the sun is high,

crowds gather, since the time is nigh.

Knights mounting their horses, getting in the swing,

you come to look for a king.

Anybody could be that guy,

day is young and the heat is high.

When they play the start music, everything is fine,

you're in the mood for a joust.

And when you get the chance ...

You are the jousting queen, young and sweet, only six-and-ten!

Jousting queen, feel the beat under the hooves. (Oh yeah!)

You can joust, you can fence, having the time of your life.

See that girl, watch that scene, digging the jousting queen!

You're the fighter, you knock them down.

Leave them fallen and then you're gone.

Looking out for another, anyone will do,

you're in the mood for a joust.

Digging teh jousting queen ...

Digging the jousting queen ...

A baker's dozen for Rhymes of Ice and Fire

Not even Hotpie could make this thread rise higher

Thanks to that sweet summer child for starting us off bright

For Fire and Blood claims all for herself by rites

As we wait for the water dancer to set things right

A little more sunshine would not be remiss

And intoxicated endangered specieis cannot not be dismissed

If only we possessed the cleverness of grumpkins

Then the senoritas would know we're not bumpkins

For gold is what most knights seek

But it's Silver that has been indispensible this week

Over three hundreds bardy songs suddenly appeared in the dead of night

Sneaked in like faceless Ninjas fierce with fight

We pray to the old gods and new for the Maester of GIF's safe return

As the sage of the southern hemisphere reminds us we still have so much to learn

The lone wolf howls longingly for his pack

Knowing that each and everyone will always have his back

Greetings Song bards one and all

To leave the forum (for a few days) I've had the gall

Real life occasionally does call

But back into Martin's world inevitably we fall...

I really liked the guess who series that someone started at the end of thread 12 (I think it may have been Silver or Buck). Will try to make a contribution to this later this evening.

For now, alas sweet lords and ladies!, back to work...

THE PEACH IN THE SOUTH!!! :commie:

now that all the mandatory war-cries have been posted, let's rhyme away :smug:

I see clouds gathering

The blowing wind gives me chills

It's time to say goodbye

To our merry Summer thrills.

I see all the leaves falling

In their dance of gold and red

Remember all the good things

In the darker days ahead.

When all is cold and white

And the sky is deadly black

May the memories of us

Bring some joy and hope back.

(I'll work on the rest once I'm back, I'm still not happy with this)

Like an addict needs fix,

I need the next book.

I`ve tried it all to get kicks,

Can`t get off this hook.

More secrets, more fights,

Pages soaked in blood,

More sleepless nights,

More strange new gods.

More kings to rise,

More heroes to fall,

More dragons, more lies,

and who has the wall??

Then the senoritas would know we're not bumpkins - Baitac

I feel that some things I miss,

where is the Lady, my sis?

And Onion and Slurmsy, my faithful brothers -

is it just me, or it bothers you too, others?

I fear I either missed some hints,

or my fellow bard forgot some bits.

But an awesome rhyme nevertheless!

I agree I may have been remiss

In forgetting to mention some bardies that are on our list

All I can say is I didn't mean to leave anyone out

Its just that it was late and I was hurrying about

Forgetting WInter's Lady, Slurms, Onion and perhaps others

Please forgive me my black brothers

For I thought I was full of spunk

When actually it seems I am just a lunk

:leaving:

p.s. Now it is time to slave away in the kitchen for I have several batches TC candy that need a quick fixing

I lovvvveeee all my bards, even if I am silent.

A Mother's Lament

I cry the tears of mothers

there are so many weepers

There's Catelyn,

who lost one too many

one pronounced King

by others, not her.

There's Cersei whose madness

only worsened on seeing her King

die before her, her hopes, her power.

There are those who cried the tears

of the dying, Lyanna, Rhaella, and Joanna,

whose children would never know them.

There are those who will never be acknowledged,

the mothers of soldiers dead in battle,

snow, land, and water.

The war for the Seven Kingdoms has

accomplished nothing more,

than to bring tears to mothers

as they mourn the loss of souls

Chatty rhymes got eaten by another place,

while ASOIAF rhymes are taking their rightful place at a quick pace,

chattiness should come back as well,

not for public, just for our own appeal.

Today I had the first dancing lesson after the holidays,

the new teacher "had been abroad" and taught us strange ways.

His style did not appeal in the least,

and he also left his language knowledge in the foreign mist -

I somehow understand the vandals now

that write "Tu je Slovenija!" on the walls downtown. <_<

Wow, that is a really good poem.! so much emotion. those bold are my favorite parts.

Sorry i have nothing to contribute, haven't been able to rhyme lately :\ Keep up the good work bards!
