Here's the tale of a hero

Who died for Winterfell,

That faithful master-of-arms

The brave Ser Rodrik Cassel.

No one could question his loyalty

And his masters' secrets he kept

Those who are bold the North remembers

And this one, it shall never forget.

With Lady Cat he rode South

With the Northern King he went to war

Behind he left dear Beth

Away from the fights and the shore.

But the sea came to Winterfell

And all the household it swept

Minus the key servants and hostages

Those, it did kept.

And Rodrik's love for his daughter

Was used by Theon Turncloak

Forcing the old knight to choose

Between his kin and his oath.

But fate works in strange ways

And granted a small mercy, so to speak

For before he could choose, Rodrik was killed

By that awful boy named Reek.

And as the cold winds rise

There'll be more tales to tell

But no Northerner will ever forget

The brave Ser Rodrik Cassel.

Only Cat

It crossed my mind,

I think,

Your hair..

Your shade of red

Went bleeding

Through my fingers....

It only was

The sun

That set

With straying

Like a beaten dog

Near me

To mark me and to linger...

I think,

I felt you

Skin on skin,

So close...

Just once

Before...

When I have

Taken all

From him

With one my word

That moment was

So short

But sweet

The more...

It was my word

To take his life

And not

A king,

The gods,

Or sword...

But I got old,

I feel,

And while

I wouldn't

Change it,

What's been

Done...

I sense

You

Now and then,

You

Right behind me

In your silence

Stand

Accusing me,

And on my hands

I see

Your blood

But feel

Your hair

In strands...

I would think that such a shoe

would be golden through and through,

not worthy to be worn in dirt,

all who see it, be alert! :)

The shoe part was a lie

pebble made a good pie

nothing else rhymed with Yerolemou

bollocks..............shoe

.........................poo?

.........................stew?

.........................moo?

Hint: "refrigerator" rhymes with everything. :ninja:

My friend Hornblower is a summer child

A summer child i may be

I think that is plain to see

but a hardened man of snows

I shall become before I go

I will climb the tallest tower

Write for many an hour

fight with a sword of steel :fencing:

and make my enemies reel

its nearly time to go

this i really do know

i'm nearly late for college

at least I've eaten my porridge

Hello Song bards short and tall

Winter is not yet coming

But here (in England) is the Fall

New rhymes a (wo)man is needing

To keep away grumkins and all

Alas, ideas this bard has none

To grace the pages of our forum fair

My "Ode to Stannis" languishes undone

As I am tearing out my hair

But, lo!, a lighbulb has just shone!

An old idea mayhaps we can revive

You suggest a thing, a name, a line

And suitable verses to write I strive

And if I can't, Shadow, Buck or Sunshine

No doubt at this task will thrive!

Yes, a completely sophomoric effort, but I quite liked the idea of someone throwing out a theme for a poem for one of us to come up with. ASOIAF games and ASOIAF rhymes in one!

From college i have returned gallant and bold

I've had such a good day it was a sight to behold

Returning to the rhymes thread with a simple idea

Lets write a little ditty, under the influence of beer

My dinner will be ready shortly

I hope it doesn't make me too portly

student living is such a blast

most of my food is usually fast

anyway the Pizzas ready

gonna eat it nice and steady
