Young Griff Casting -Spoilers For ADwD-

Aegon Targaryen VI

I've seen Nicholas Hoult in Skins - he's good, but just doesn't have that charisma or the leader vibe Aegon is supposed to have....

Dude, he's a pouty kid with temper tantrums who filled his diaper in the first fight he got in and had to rely on a stunted dwarf to save his ass, not to mention he's arrogant and doesn't listen to his advisors (Jon Connington's last chapter). To me Aegon so far has been Joffrey the Second.

This Hoult guy looks super Aegon-y to me in this pic. http://www.flickr.co...eng/3393041566/

Just dye the hair blue and I can easily picture him as Young Griff.

This. Nicholas Hoult would be great and he looks like he could really be related to the other Targaryens!

The other good suggestion I saw (looks-wise, can't judge his acting) was Logan Lerman.

Looks-wise Mitch Hewer (http://www.teenidols..._1241021155.jpg) seems a perfect fit, again I don't know if he can act though. Then again Aegon hasn't been a very complicated character so far.

I would like to suggest Max Fowler for this role.

He is an excellent young actor who will be appearing in S3 of 'The Killing' but has other credits including 'Mayday' - one of the only bright spots of that show - and 'Waterloo Road'.

He also has more than a passing resemblance to Harry Lloyd (Viserys). He has a dreamlike quality that I think would be pretty dead on for a child of Rhaegar Targaryen.

(He is also very handsome - a great quality in a King).

Youg Griff was born within a year or so of the following characters.

Dany T (actress born 1987)

Robb S (actor born 1986)

Jon S (actor born 1986)

Why does the Aegon need to be 4 years younger?

Please note, this is NOT a call for Jamie Campbell-Bower he is simply not a strong enough actor, either in talent, or in physique for someone with years of military training. To say he's too old, whilst simultaneously being 2 years younger than his direct peers seems... silly

Its easier to make girls look younger than boys. IMO you don't want Aegon looking any older than about 20, as I think his youth is critical to his character. Certainly you don't want him looking as old as Jon and Robb did in the first season. Nicholas Hoult can pass as much younger than he is; I think he's the perfect choice. The trick will be getting him.

I like the idea of Robert Sheehan, especially since Emilia and Harry are both brunettes with green eyes as well. I think he'd be perfect for the role and he's probably the strongest actor mentioned so far.

He almost looks to "nice" so to speak, especially compared to Viserys. Weird I know.

Yeah, he looks quite allot like the guy who played Viserys.
