Jon Connington, variety of options.

McKidd, hands down... it's bad enough the script for the Rome movie appears dead in the water. .... No one is more perfect for this role than the stone Catonian.

Make it so. Nothing would please me more than to have my favorite sword and shield character of all time be reincarnated for GRRM's classic.

Paul McGann (Mance role already being taken) would be great as Jon Connington. I think he'd bring the 'tortured soul' essence of Jon to life brilliantly. He's interested in GoT too -

I don't approve.

Mmmm... I'm... 87% convinced.

I've not seen Vincent Regan mentioned.

Check out the stills from SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN

Toby Stephens is optioned for BLACK SAILS, I think.

Dominic West - may be more suited to a 'Northern' role as he's from Sheffield, same city as Sean Bean.

Chris Cooper - although may be outside of the price bracket.

Any would fit JonCon, Euron or Victarion

Richard Armitage could be in the reckoning too, particularly as he seems to want to join the cast.

SO many great actors.

Out of the already presented options, I definitely like McKidd, Isaacs, and Pertwee. I searched the thread and didn't find the name so forgive if he's been brought up but I have another direction for the JonCon role: Jeffrey Donovan. (Edit: This pic too - http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1202575360/nm0232998?ref_=nmmi_mi_all_sf_18)

I know he's an American actor (and not red hair) but something about the descriptions of JonCon just feels right in line with many of the scenes I remember from Burn Notice, most especially his delivery when the Michael Westen character is being a little vague and is bluffing. I couldn't find a whole lot of good clips on YouTube… it's filled with slideshows that have crappy music made by fans, but:
