"Sistering" is not a sexual act

we had an extensive docking talk around the prep table just last week. only two of five chefs were aware of the act.

Most straight men are not aware of this (the BwB London contingent notwithstanding). Heck, plenty of gay men in the U.S. are not either, given the relevant demographic.

Sistering is a term commonly used by women's support service groups and outreach programs. I don't think I have ever heard it associated with something lesbians do.

Considering the amount of man-hating that goes on in 'women's support groups', I'd say it's at least a culturally lesbian term. Not sexual, but in frequent practice by lesbians.

I think the support groups are less about militant feminism and more about low income and underprivileged women.
