Snowborn Posted November 25, 2012 Share Posted November 25, 2012 Welcome to the 30th edition of the Elimination Game, "Best places to live in Westeros"!A brief review of the mechanics and rules:In each round, you are allowed to "heal" one option and "hurt" another. For exampleBear Island 5King's Landing 5Heal Bear IslandHurt King's LandingBear Island 6 (+)King's Landing 4 (-)The rules:1. Every battle starts with 5 HP (healing points).2. You can only vote once every 10 attack posts (9 between your first and last) OR once every two hours.3. A cap of 25 HP will be imposed upon the last 5 deaths standing. Once this cap is in effect, you can choose to hurt one option without healing another, as long as at least one of the remaining choices is at the 25 point maximum.4. If you spot any errors during the game, please correct them and include where you saw the error happen.5. The game starts with 150 HP total and should stay that way until the last 5 deaths standing.6. Please note who you're healing/hurting with +/- signs.The list:1. Skagos2. Bear Island3. The Wall4. Horn HillRemember...Every elimination game has a theme and you are supposed to vote for a character based on how well they represent the theme, not how much you like them. Say you like X and X is a coward and stands around in a corner and wallows in self-pity. X is not a badass, and you shouldn't vote for him, no matter how much you like him as a character. Or for another example, say character X is from place Y. You don't actually like place Y, for a variety of reasons, but character X is from there, so you vote for place Y. They were separate in the original list I made, but sadly that ship sailed and the rest of the people decided that they should be merged. They also decided to kick out the Umbers' place (Last Hearth). I guess nobody wants to drink with the Jons on their home turf. :DI lobbied for putting them together. Part of the appeal of the Rock is the view of the Port, and vice versa. And I lobbied for the opposite, because even though they are close, they are very different.ETA: In any case, the game has started, so I think we shouldn't change the list.
