The color of the Eyes

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I think there is something more going on with the color of the characters' eyes.

I believe that the eyes tell us on whose "side" the characters are on.

Let's start with the Targaryens, they are described to have eyes dark lilac almost black. I associate the Targaryens with fire, summer and shadow.

If we look at the Boltons for example, Roose eyes are described as very bright and pale. He also accepts Ramsay based on his eyes being similar to his own.

On another thread http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/topic/79485-drawing-blood-from-a-bolton/ someone pointed out that the Boltons might be connected to ice, white and the Others.

I believe the eyes of a character shows us whose "side" of fire/ice they belong.

What do you think?

(Sorry for any typo, my native language isn't English)
