Rank the Prologues

Recommended Posts

So for all of those that have read all the books thus far rank the prologues starting with your favorite:

1) Storm of Swords - What a coincidence, the best book thus far has the best prologue. The others and wights attack the night's watch on the fist of the first men. No book has started out with so much going on.

2) A Game of Thrones - The first prologue that takes us north of the wall comes in as a close second. It's the introduction to the entire saga, and all at once we are introduced to the wall, the night's watch and the others.

3) Feast for Crows - Stars out slow, but one of our favorite characters comes in towards the very end (assumed) to make the wait worth it and put things into motion that might have a major impact on the story in the last two books.

4) A Clash of Kings - We get a nice introduction into the iconic layer of the dragon lords, as well as, new characters that will play major roles in the books to come.

5) A Dance with Dragons - Honestly, this prologue doesn't really do much for me. Most of us think it's a foreshadowing of things to come for one of our favorite characters, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
