jgb9184
I've re-read a few chapters in Blood and Gold and I can't discover where Jon learns that Robb and Catelyn are dead?Somewhere at the end of the book he just seems to know this, but I can't find out who told him and how he reacted? lionhead
We don't see everything everyone learns at every point. A lot happens off-page so to speak. That said the wall has recruits with news from where-ever. Also with Crow-mail I think we can assume that with several people claiming to rule, after every major event the victors would send messages to every major place in Westeros shouting from the rooftops their latest victory. ghost of Harrenhall
I think he was told soon after he got back to the wall after Queen’s Crown, and really did not have time to react.
jgb9184
Ok thanks for claring that up, so this means it's not literally WRITTEN anywhere in the book, that is what I thought. I started doubting that I might have missed it, but couldn't find the paragraph. Now it makes sense ;-)
