The Snowman Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 Yeah I'm with Old Man Aegon; from the description of the battle the Lannister host was split into 3 parts around the flooded Riverrun. Robb's cavalry attacked from west, south and east. Then Lord Blackwood opened the gates of Riverrun and attacked the exposed Lannister host from the north. On the way to Edmure's wedding at the Twins they pass through the Whispering Wood shortly after leaving Riverrun. So I'd say it's the forested area surrounding Riverrun.
