Actors you would like to see on the show?

Let's make this a little fun - list at least one "realistic" actor/actress who could appear and one "unrealistic."

Realistic - accent fits the established speaking of the show, there is a role available, actor/actress is not so expensive that even a guest appearance would be out of the price range of GoT

Unrealistic - dead, super expensive, putting a new person in the role of someone already cast, or just would simply not fit anywhere in the world of GoT

Here are my examples

Realistic -

  • Joseph Morgan (The Vampire Diaries), I don't care where he is cast but I could see him easily as Oberyn. As his character Klaus on TVD he shows great ability in making his character seem "grey" - not wholly evil nor wholly good but somewhere in the middle. This is what GRRM talks about most, how there is no true evil in ASOIAF. He makes you hate a character then pity him, or has him do horrible things only to be later redeemed.
  • James Callis (Battlestar Galactica), same for the "grey" acting, hell he's just a great actor period. I could see him in one of the mercenery leader positions or some other ruthless role. Actually I could also see him as Doran Martell if they aged him up some, but I would hate to see him gouty/wheelchair bound.

Unrealistic -

  • Just to add some token eye candy, I'd like Blake Lively and Ryan Sypek (Wildfire)
  • And also Tahmoh Penikett (also BSG) because I never watched Dollhouse and I miss seeing him on TV.

Realistically I'd love to see these two young actors given a role in the series:

Max Fowler - maybe as Aegon Targaryen:

He was the shining star in the recent series 'Mayday' which aired on BBC 1. He played a troubled young man who was soliciting himself - amongst other things - in the series. He also has more than a passing resemblance to Harry Lloyd.

Luke Newberry:

Luke is currently starring in BBC 3's new horror 'In The Flesh'. He has played an excellent role which so far has showcased his vulnerability as an actor. It is a shame that he doesn't fit the physical description of Quentyn because he would bring an excellent dreamy quality to that role.

Nicholas Cage as Euron

Edward Cullen as Aegon

Taylor Lautner as Quentyn

lol is that because they are both so widely hated? Seriously though, Robert Pattinson is a horrible actor. If they can get someone as good as Jack Gleeson to play Joffrey then someone can do better as Aegon.

Taylor Lautner would have made a great Dothraki actually. Nom nom.

Luke is certainy a unique face. Too bad Jojen is already cast.

Talisa mentions a younger brother. If anybody watched The Hour, Oona Chaplin's (who plays Talisa) character Marnie has a little brother named Ralph on it and he's played by Ben Hughes-Lloyd. He was really good in a minor role and the bonus of them both looking and feeling like siblings. If Talisa's kid brother ever did show, hope he gets an audition. http://www.imdb.com/...name/nm2050075/
