First part is that Ned's promise was to protect the baby Sam he gave the babe to Jon Arryn he didn't say his son Jon but Lord Arryn so that is why he thinks of Jon in Game of Thrones. Lord Arryn put the boy in a home where he could be raised with love so Lady Tarly who had miscarrged took the boy so that her husband would not find out . He has description of pale eyes and dark hair that would be a combo of Stark and Targaryen. He is very bookish and he was very close to Maester Aemon giving a very moving last rites and sends Gilly away to his home claiming it his son somewhat history repeating itself a prince being sent to Horn Hill as a son of a Tarlyfor some reason i have taken notice that all your threads are completely ridiculous or just utter dumb trolling. Randyll is as ruthless as Tywin and Roose, to where he'd be pretty close to the last on lords I would give TPTWP to. It just doesn't make sense, and ruins their relationship in the story. There are plenty of other houses that would get the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar over House Tarly. People are just getting to invested in the fact that Sam likes reading books.
