Hound Dog
Can't wait to find out what happens in the north, both at the Wall and Winterfell, and what's going to happen with Jon. His story arc was starting to fizzle a little for me so I'm glad for a change (should he still have some role to play in WoW).Curious about Davos and Rickon and how all that pans out. Can't see how, if Jon does become an UnJon type, he would ever become Lord of Winterfell, despite being legitimised.Really interested in Sansa's arc... her chapters have surprisingly grown to become some of my favourites. In the beginning of GoT I hated her. Great character development, that's all I can say.Interested in the Martells and very interested in the Citadel!!Dany better finally make her way to bloody Westeros soon. I really like her character, but sometimes her chapters can be a little bland, mostly because I care more about the Seven Kingdoms than I do Meereen. Really glad to see her able to ride Drogon now as well :-) That was a great end for her in DwD, I felt. Curious what Ser Jorah's fate will be as well. Hope he doesn't die in battle.Really hope Stannis isn't dead. Arya's arc really has become its own storyline and I'm hoping somehow it begins to tie back into the rest of what's going on. Her chapters just aren't as exciting as they used to be... she was always travelling and meeting important figures and so on. Now that's stopped and she's just no one in the dark. I'm sure GRRM has a really good plan for her and I can't wait to find out what it is.And Jaime/Brienne should be interesting too. Want to find out what happened to her, because when we left her in Feast she was being hanged. I'd like a bit of an explanation, I'm sure we'll get it.Curious about the Gravedigger as well. And Robert Strong. Oh, and of course everything in King's Landing. I hope Cersei dies, great character that she is. It'd really shake things up in KL.I guess you could say I'm looking forward to everything.... maybe the Iron Islands stories a little less than others, not sure why, though. Never liked any of the Greyjoys, especially not Theon.
Sullen
Theon/Asha is the one I'm the most interested in, followed by Aeron, and Victarion/Barristan/Tyrion.
juanml82
Sansa's rise to power, if any. That girl is a walking Chekhov's Gun, she has to realize that and finally make a move. All things North, specially the Great Northern Conspiracy, if it exists. The Boltons have to die with the sound of thousands of Northerners bashing their shields and chanting "The King in the North". And Stannis has to be there to realize he was used and can now be discarded. With plenty of direwolf flags waving in the snow.EDIT: "I, Rickon of House Stark, Lord of Winterfell, in the name of Brandon, King in the North, sentence you, Ramsay Snow, to death"(Shaggydog eats a bastard for dinner) Terrified, shat in his pants, Roose Bolton, waiting his turn "My lord, the man who passes the sentence must carry it out.""And what do you think I just did?" Rouge et Bleu
The North. It seems like all of the stories I am most intrigued to see resolved are all occurring north of Moat Cailin...-The aftermath of Jon's assassination (or attempt, depending on where Martin goes with this), wildling reaction and the potential destruction of the NW.-The Others assault on Hardhome and Cotter Pyke's fleet. The possibility that they are finally making their move southward.-Stannis' assault on Winterfell, and the potential "Great Northern Conspiracy"-Legitimacy of the Pink Letter-Davos, Rickon and Skagos-Theon and Asha in Stannis' campOther than the resolution to Jaime and Brienne's little pickle, the North is where the action is. ~Shiera Seastar~
With this new article, I'm looking forward to Sansa's storyline absofreakinglutely. I wonder what that "controversial" thingy means? Will Sansa finally unleash her she-wolfness and devour every single being who did her wrong? Or forget the Lady-wolf she is? Whatever it might be, I hope it's going to be deliciously and satisfyingly shocking. Har!

grod823
I think that all of the POV's are going to be very intriguing. But I am very much looking forward to Tyrion's POV and what will end up happening to him. Tyrion has proven that he is most capable of adapting and surviving any ordeal he has faced over the first 5 books so it will be very interesting to see how GRRM sets up the meeting between Lannister and Danaeris Targaeryan

Lord Bronn of Sunspear
And Jaime/Brienne should be interesting too. Want to find out what happened to her, because when we left her in Feast she was being hanged. Hound Dog
Maybe you've forgotten, but we see Brienne in aDwD.Oh no, I remember, but it was never explained what exactly happened to her. I should've been more clear on that. Does she look so terrible because she's like Lady Stoneheart now?

Does she look so terrible because she's like Lady Stoneheart now?My guess would just be malnourishment. Long trip, near death experience, and i doubt the BwoB were feeding her very well. But theres also the possibility she looks like crap on purpose, to make Jaime think she had some epic fight with the hound. RKOpanther
For me anything to do with the North/Jon/Starks. The Sand Snakes in KL will be interesting (Cersei's gonna go mad or well madder than she already is)

cbus20122
I'm interested in how King's landing plans to defend itself when the Golden Company arrives at their doorstep.Their king is a boy, the army is depleted, the regent was just murdered (with Varys plotting to further weaken KL) and the current hand is supposedly an oaf who relies on Randyl Tarley for any competent military strategy. If they can't defend King's Landing, what becomes of Margaery, Tommen, and all others? I don't imagine Connington and company would want to utterly destroy everyone, but I also don't imagine them being particularly lenient as well, especially when it comes to dealing with Lannisters.I'm also interested in Sansa's arc from here forward. Most of AFFC was simply setting up Sansa to make a move. Of all the Kingdoms in Westeros, the Vale has not had any involvement, and is presumably at full strength (outside the lack of a true commander). And like others, I'm naturally excited to see what comes of the Battle of Winterfell.
Minsc
1. Sansa, as we will likely finally see Sansa make her move and this whole discussion of a controversial chapter is killing me.2. Theon, as he is the best written character in the series.3. Jaime, as he is also expertly written and he connects in with the Sansa plot.4. Aegon, as I just want to see how his story develops.5. Davos, because he is Davos.
MercyTheBlindUglyLittleCat
In ranked order...1.) Arya!!! Duh. I have no clue what will happen, but I think she may end up with the most shocking and exciting of stories. She may make some serious assassinations in Essos and Westeros. She may be reunited with Nymeria. She may join forces with an unexpected ally. She may abandon or turn on the Faceless Men.2.) Melisandre/Jon. Let's get real here, Jon is gonna come back to life (or just not be dead). The Wall is gonna be THE spot of serious action in this book for sure. Jon may learn his true parentage. Jon may get revenge. Jon may take down Ramsay Bolton (bastard vs. Bastard). Mels may turn on Stannis in favor of Jon. Mels may reveal serious backstory on Assai and the Priesthood of Rhllor. Mels may get some new major prophecies.3.) Daenerys!! After being a drag in Book 5 (minus the last two chapters), I think Dany is gonna do HUGE THINGS. She may land in Westeros!!!! She may declare war on Aegon!!! She may meet and become allies with Tyrion!! She may lay waste to (Free) cities with Drogon and a new Khalasar!! She may get into a dragon on dragon battle!! She may learn of a greater destiny from Maester Marwyn!!4.) Tyrion/Victarion/Barristan. MAJOR BATTLE TIME!! But the fight for Meereen may only be the beginning. Barristan may die!! Victarion may take control of Rhaegal and Viserion!! Victarion may be taken down in a dragon battle against Dany!! Tyrion may be come Dragon Rider alongside Dany on Drogon!!!! Tyrion may go with Dany, her army, her Khal, to lay waste to Volantis!!! They may then move to take down Pentos!!! Tyrion may kill Illyrio after learning some truths about Aegon and House Blackfyre!! Tyrion may return to Westeros as Dany's Hand of the Queen!!!5.) Bran. The surrealism, and/or dark horror, can only get better. Bran may have TONS of exciting backstory and lore revealed to him in dreams and by 3eyed crow. He may gain dark and twisted powers. He may learn he is a cannibal. He may turn on 3eyed crow. He may take his place and become an immobile spy tree creature. He may learn to "fly."6.) Jaime/Brienne. There is more suspicious nerve-wracking mystery here than anywhere else in the story I think. One may end up killing the other. She may be leading him into a trap. She may be using him as part of a trap to take down those who would have her hurt him. They may end up killing a whole lot of people together. They may hook-up (gross but beautiful). One may die saving the other. Both may die fighting bravely alongside the other. I'd be particularly moved and heartbroken by that last one.7.) Sansa. After doing nothing in aFfC, and being absent from aDwD, I expect Sansa to get very proactive, really for the first time ever, in tWoW. This may end up being HER book to shine and surprise us all. I have no clue what may happen, but I expect to be shocked, more than I was in Book 3, but this time cause of HER.8.) Samwell. Conspiracy is afoot, and Sam is right at the heart of it. I cant even suggest ideas for this other than I expect some serious reveals and twists to be discovered in Sam's journey to gain knowledge and eventually return to The Wall (it may happen).9.) ....THE REST
