Just submitted Jaime's "I'M A MONSTER!!!!! AAAAARRRGHHHH" moment to Arrested Westeros.com. You all have no idea how long I've been waiting to bust that one out.

Oh my god I forgot Arrested Westeros exists, thank you so much for reminding me

there's gonna be so much Jaime and Theon material alone

I loved the Pod stuff. Showed great camaraderie between the three men and a great reference to the Mereenese Knot. Also liked it better than the books where Tyrion never really thanked Pod for playing such an important role in saving him. Plus, it was a very Tyrion thing to do to thank him with whores. I'm starting to like shades of the TV Tyrion better than book Tyrion.

I think some of you are happy mainly because there was so much fan service. But I'm enjoying the series as usual, so whatever floats your boat.

Questions from Episode 3 I need clearing up?

1. Since when do the White Walkers arrange the dead in the shape of universes? I don't remember this from the books.

Yeah, still confused here too...

2. Why is Tormond going over the wall? Wasn't it someone else in the book? Can't remember. Does this mean Tormond is going to die?! I hope not. He hasn't even talked about his "biological advantages" yet.

See, it's that 'biological advantage' that's why he's climbing the wall. When he reaches the top, he'll turn round, loose his member, and all the Wildlings will climb up it. Lot easier than lugging ropes and ladders.

3. What the eff is Ghost doing?

4. When is Samwell going to kill the wight?

These are mysteries to me as well

5. Where are they making Stannis out to be a bitch?

6. Ramsay told Theon: "Winter is coming." WTF?

5. Inorite? As bad as LF's portrayal in E1.

6.

Ramsay told Theon: "Winter is coming." WTF?

Well, after all, he is the trueborn lord of Winterfell.

8. Why so much hate for the song at the end? Thought it was both great and equally as shocking as Jaime parting ways with his sword hand.

Should've used this version:

9. Lastly, who gives a rip if stuff in the show deviates from the book? I like the changes. It's not supposed to be exactly like the book. If it was, it would be difficult to watch.

I for one don't. At least as long as that stuff is better than what's in the books. The majority of it hasn't been, however. It would be a lot easier to watch if they stuck closer to the books in those scenes.

I'm assuming after Ramsay reveals himself to Theon, we're going to have this exchange:

"You tricked me"

"I deceived you. Tricked makes it sound like we have a playful relationship"

EDIT: Just found this gem of a quote on the AV Club comments section:

"The guy who cut off my hand was bearing a Roose seal!"

With the risk I am going to be crucified :), I am not that big fan of this episode. And, here is why

1. Theon and Jaime. OK, we all like passing the judgement. I get that, and we finally saw two `villains` getting what they deserved. But, Theon`s `hunting party` is something this is cut into very small pieces, and every time I think there`ll be some great cathartic moment, I get disappointed. As for Jaime and his hand getting cut off, I am sorry, but that scene didn`t work for me. Locke seems ruthless yes, but cutting that hand was more than that. This was too random for my taste, especially giving Locke`s look as somewhat cunning man.

2. Podrick. This was incredibly funny. But, also immensly stupid. Podrick has become Catelyn of this episode, in character suicide thing. I like Podric from the book, I like Podric being shy and quiet as he was in the show, but to imagine him as some sex symbol that can make whores forget money, is too much for my taste

3. Edmure/Blackfish confrontation. This is strange business. I like Edmure, and I love Blackfish. They are separatly brilliant, but together they make strange combination. I didn`t like the whole pushing Edmure around like that, especially in public.

4. Small council meeting scene. The point of that scene eludes me. If it was just to give Tyrion somethig to work, than OK. But, I hoped to see more than just pulling the chairs. I wanted some really clever outsmarting between Tywin and Tyrion, LF and Varys and I have seen one of it. Entrance was great, but came next was just boring.

5. NW scene with Craster. I don`t know why I don`t like it, but I don`t. Basically, reprecutions of Sam not killing the Other (RIP Puddles :) ) is coming to bite this arc`s ass. And the beauty of Sam`s story in SOS is that he is now faced with ridicule for doing something right

6. Nudity. We have survived last episode without nudity, I don`t see the reason why couldn`t we skipped the naked whore thing in this episode. This nudity thing has become so frustrating, because in this episode I haven`t seen the purpose of it.

And, now I will focus on good things:

1. Arya, HotPie and Gendry. That scene was beautiful. It worked even better than in the books, since we don`t have official goodbye between Arya and HotPie, and I have to say I was really touched by direwolf bread, and have laughed when Arya started eating it.

2. Rhaegar died. You have to give credits to Iain Glen for this. Even with careful reading, sometimes the right tone of this line can elude you, but Iain made it sound so cool and determing. I love him in this episode. Actually, strangely enough, I liked entire Dany`s storyarc in this episode.

3. Blackfish. You imagine ruggedly older badass man, and we got the badass :). He is brilliant. The scene between Cat and him was superbly acted and it set such great tone for the rest of the season. I hope we`ll see more of him.

4. Michelle Fairley. She shoots, and she scores. Controversial scene from last episode, and now conversation with Blackfish. This woman is truly stepping up this season.

5. Bear and maiden fair. Let`s face it, we like these songs... :)

Writing was good, but not superb. Acting as always was highlight of the day, and we have been presented with a song. Not bad but far from perfect. Now, you can position the fire squad :)

Ok, so this episode wasn't thrilling to me. I was actually bored a lot of the time. One thing I don't get, and I hope someone can explain it to me - Why did Pod get the whore services for free?

His spear is incredibly large, and he is practiced at thrusting it using proper motion.

Whoever posted the online episodes with the Bear and the Maiden Fair taped over Jaime losing his hand: I don't know who you are, but I will find you and I will kill you...

Quit pirating and pay for the show... That way, It will make more money. have more budget and be a better product.

Or... you could go to a forum and whine because someone disrupted your theft.

"I didn't understand this scene it must be just for the really stupid people"

That's how I read the reaction too. Maybe some viewers just don't catch the importance of male bonding between the characters, even if it involves whores. For the context of the characters and their social norms/setting, it was perfect that they used whores to have a laugh. Tea and lemon cakes wouldn't have worked, unless it was Sansa and Jeyne Poole. Asking for details and a breakdown was a funny end.

Bronn and Tyrion have a great on-screen chemistry, I enjoy all of their conversations a lot. You could make a point for the scene being overlong but I still liked it well enough and didn't really find it a waste of time.

It was a little jarring to go from LOL Pod -> HOLY SHIT THEON though, but that seems to be kind of the point of the whole episode

For Theon/Jaime, I think the show and books are sympatico. You are supposed to enjoy watching the villians get theirs. Americans especially have this sick fascination that once the hero is justified, watching torture porn on television is perfectly reasonable because the victim "deserved it." The point with these scenes is you walk away uncomfortable. You're not going to like Jaime's comeuppance because you'll learn about Aerys and his crazy pyromancer, and the impossible situation he was in choosing between his sister, father, and king. Same goes for Theon where he truly doesn't deserve the damnation he receives.

How is it that I sometimes feel the show is moving a bit slowly when I don't have a problem spending many more hours reading the books? That being said, enjoyed the episode. Dany is much better so far this season. Tyrion and Bronn work great together. Jamie is perfectly portrayed. Jon's scenes are a bit of a letdown only because I always enjoyed his chapters in the book. Robb laughing during the funeral was weird and I can't stand Cat. That's my take ;)

I don't understand why people are mad/questioning the white walker art. Who cares if was in the books or not? It was established in the first five minutes of episode 1/season 1 that this is what the White Walkers do with bodies.

"Hey bro, move that horse head a few inches to the left." "WATCH IT, you&undefined¿ll snap the ears off!" Haha, I jest, it was cool if a little funny.

I think we needed a somewhat lighter episode (with appropriate mood whiplash) to counter a lot of the shittiness that&undefined¿s about to go down. The laugh before the storm...

It did make me "WTF?" that Theon got "maced" with only the wind knocked out of him, but I think he just dived off a second before. If you land funny when falling off a horse, you will get all the air knocked out of you. Leading to scared moms thinking you&undefined¿ve broken your back or something until you can gasp out "Fine!"
