SerMixalot
What? He said that Theon murdered Robb's brothers.Correction, Theon, but still noone is supposed to know, well unless he has been in contact with Bolton! :)
The Drunkard
I loved this episode not a huge fan of davos but him n shireen scene was my favourite so sweet. Does that mean they'll combine her with Edric?Could be. Another idea tossed around is that Gendry will be the new Edric, and that's why Melisandre travelled to the mainland. Tall Tyrion Lannister!
I loved this episode not a huge fan of davos but him n shireen scene was my favourite so sweet. Does that mean they'll combine her with Edric? jaime n Brienne the whole scene was wonderfully done. If i had to pick one tiny thing that annoyed me it would have to be jon n ygritte, I know it's not their fault cause they r trying to squeeze an entire books' worth of story into few minutes here n there. It's like they met last season and this season is their end n all the middle is missing. No, they are going to put Gendry into Edric's situation. One of the character featurettes showed Mel checking out Beric's scars. Shireen is going to teach Davos how to read and probably be a patchface/shireen hybrid.besides me seeing ygritte naked, that cave scene seemed rushed. Ran
On Jaime being judged by Ned:The oaths Robert and Ned and Jon Arryn and so on swore were part of a contract that Aerys violated by demanding the heads of Eddard and Robert without just cause. They swear to follow the king in return for his justice, basically. His failure ended that compact.Jaime entered willingly into a very different agreement. Rhaegarsjoy
I think she is going to be combined with Patchface, and Gendry is going to play Edric's part.Patchface that's cruel, and I don't see davos risking his life for gendry a boy he never met or cares about. Ser Cookie Monster
Correction, Theon, but still noone is supposed to know, well unless he has been in contact with Bolton! :)Those where my exact thoughts, that he has already allied with Roose. Pinkie Baelish
Patchface that's cruel, and I don't see davos risking his life for gendry a boy he never met or cares about.Dunno, Davos has a pretty rigid sense of morality. I don't think it would matter too much whether he knows Gendry or not. He's a good enough man to know that burning Gendry is a heinous action, and that Gendry has to be saved. Ser Cookie Monster
Patchface that's cruel, and I don't see davos risking his life for gendry a boy he never met or cares about.lol I know it's cruel, specially when she is even sweeter and more cute in the show. But the only part of Patchface that she will have are the creepy songs.Yeah, Davos and Gendry.. Maybe he'll do it just because it's the right thing and Gendry is inocent, and doesn't deserve being burned alive. I don't personally like this change, but I think that's what is going to happen. Joyful Union
Patchface that's cruel, and I don't see davos risking his life for gendry a boy he never met or cares about.I cant remember the exact quote, but i'ts something along these lines:What is this boys life, against the whole realm? - Stannis"Everything" - Davos

The Mondrian Oak
Sorry I have to totally disagree with you. ALl of that flirtation was done when Y was J's captive and she was working him to escape. That was manipulation, not setting up a relationship and nothing since has shown any romantic spark between the two. If they replaced that horrible Pos escapade they certainly could have worked a scene or two in THIS SEASON establishing some chemistry between the 2. I felt the sex essentially came out of nowhere on the show.Well, if I remembet correctly, spearwives fall in love with those who kidnap them; and to me it was clear that Ygritte was somehow interested in Jon, although, as you said, she was also working her way out of captivity. But expecially after Jon had been taken prisoner, se continued to look very interested in Jon: she kept the Lord of Bones from cuttin his throat; she looked impressed when Jon killed the Halfhand, and asked the other wildlings to free him. She escorted Jon to Mance's tent, while "playfully" mocking him. She presented him to Mance and Tormund. And she gave a very meaningful look at him when leaving the tent. Hell, even Mance noticed it, and said " the girl likes you!". I think that is more than enough material. And Jon even spared her life at the very beginning! Sun
I agree with those who think Jon/Ygritte was unconvincing. It felt as frivolous and superficial as a pantomime. And I forgot to say earlier, Roose Bolton's face when he first saw Jaime's hand was masterful. Telegraphed his intentions most eloquently. Like I said before, she would've been more atracted and impresed by Jon IF he would've spared her life letting her go, like in the book. In the show he had the intention of killing her, he just failed, which makes him look more pathetic in a Wildlings eyes. Ygritte would still be impresed if Jon killed Qhorin like in the book. All those escenes you mentioned happened in season 3, so they didn't really expand the relationship in season 2. But still the scenes weren't enough because it felt very forced. Ran
Cellio,Worked through the night (guh) and all the usual content is now up in the episode guide. And now uploading our video review. But yeah, I liked it quite a lot except for what was done with Loras, and just how sloppy this whole business was. It felt really rushed. There's some other nitpicks, but on the whole there was a lot to praise in this one, and I consider it the best episode of the season in terms of consistency.Their failure make anything of the Frey alliance until now, beyond one or two remarks, is weird to me. I don't really understand why they've changed Robb from wanting to go to the North again to deciding to just attack Casterly Rock. What's wrong with the strategic picture in the novels? They even introduced the Reeds, there's no reason to shy away from mentioning how their father will help him get past the Neck and into the North! That's one thing I'll be asking Bryan about in our interview, which I hope maybe to get up today or maybe tomorrow.
