[Book Spoilers] Talisa is pregnant?

Recommended Posts

I don't even want to talk about her being pregnant because that throws so many wrenches into my already established conspiracies about her.

Either way, I hope she is still a Lannister spy, and will either get killed at the RW, just because, or sent off to be Farya (Fake Arya). Yes I despise her character so much I want her handed over to the Bastard.

And where is Grey Worm??? I guess they had to skip over him this ep because all the CGI went into the dragons, but even then we haven't seen him.. I can't even remember when? I think more people will be mad he's dead, than Robb!

I think you mean Grey Wind. Grey Worm was all over the Dany scenes.

Talisa is lying about being prego because she is a spy.

More distraction for Robb so he doesn't realize he's walking into a trap.

This was the general feeling I got. Tywin cannot defeat him in the field, so he will hit him where Robb is weakest. From a TV viewer perspective it would be no coincidence that the Lannisters have been 'evading' the Northman for so long since he 'married 'er' as Karstark said.

It's sad we do not get enough wolf as much as dragon it seems. Having Grey Wind lurking about ole Karstark or even the Freys would've been golden!

There is the chance that she's lying but the question is, why to do it? If she's indeed a spy and she's there to betray them all, why saying "I'm pregnant"? Make no sense, yet.

But maybe, the plot has changed into her purposely getting pregnant so they still could have a son of Robb's Stark to rule Winterfell in name of the Lannister, if Talisa's family are indeed Lannister loyalists (or at least, they're allies) and they wanted her to do it. Then, it would make sense that she seduced him and even didn't matter that she fell in love with him, probably thinking that she would be spared.

Ain't the reason Tyrion is marrying Sansa, to give the Lannisters hold of the north?

But isn't that why they are marrying Sansa to Tyrion :dunno:

Edit: ninja'd :ninja:

I am thinking she's going to have a miscarriage next episode which will prompt Robb to write the will. Then Catelyn is going to suggest to legitimize Jon Snow.

They set up the story at the beginning of the season (Catelyn's story about Jon almost dying), so I really can't see them wasting that time not to pay it off since the entire season felt rushed (up until now).

I wouldn't read too much into this. I think we'll see the will prop up at some point.

Interesting.....Talisa miscarries....is kept from going to the wedding because she is too weak to continue and is escorted by the blackfish back to riverrun......At this point Robb has yet to learn of Sansas marriage to Tyrion.....but when he does...this is when he makes the will...could be wrong ....they've altered the story already with Talisa (Jeyne)

Ok, let's say Talisa IS a spy and they purposely wanted her to have a child of Robb, then, I'd say that's not something sure to happen when they want it to happen (there is a chance that talisa isn't pregnant by the time they go to the RW). So, Sansa is their second option. After all, a son of Robb's has more claim than a son of Sansa's.

Apparently, Talisa is pregnant on the show. This gives a nod towards the "hips don't lie" theory but also makes the northern conspiracy moot. I fail to see why Robb would have any reason to ever legitimise Jon now.

Can I also confirm that GRRM wrote this episode (except for the bear scene)? So I suppose this episode was in line with what he had in mind in the books.

I thought so too, but bare in mind that they are ALL on their way to The Twins to the Red Wedding... could this also mean that Talysa will die there too?

Does she nessacerily have to miscarry to sent back. maybe Robb feels the road isn't as good for a pregnant women as being in riverrun and sends her back?

I don't think Talisa will die, and I'm certain she is a spy. I'm not sure how they will resolve the pregnancy either. I think her "reward" will not be the kind she is expecting. I suspect they offered her a marriage to the new heir of the north...

Not fake Arya?

Maybe Jon hears of some "girl" married to Bolton and they think it's Arya.

Yeah I think they will just marry Ramsay to Robb's widow and just pretend that that is good enough. I guess they could bring Jeyne Poole back but the TV show wants the audience to care and they can't keep introducing new characters.

I'm not quite sure what to make of it. When Talisa started writing that letter and Robb brought it up, it made me think all of the spy theories are true. However, if she's pregnant with his kid is she really going to betray him like that? I think she's either lying about being pregnant and is a spy, or it's a way to make the RW even more heartbreaking by having Talisa murdered as well...

Yea, this is the first time that I really thought she might be a spy.

I just can't get past that she's Charlie Chaplin's grand daughter. I keep wanting her to stick her finger under her nose and do a "chaplin". But in all seriousness, I don't think she dies at the RW. Rather I think she's taken hostage. Major diversion from the novel but ... can't think of any other ending that would make sense to her narrative arc.

they never even introduced jeyne poole iirc.

While I don't think that her being Fake Arya is a bad thing, I wonder where that will leave the blackfish, assuming he's not killed off in the RW. if he is, then that would suck as it would seemingly mean that whatever he's upto now is meaningless.

Is it just me or has Robb's storyline sucked ever since he was named King of the North? It sounds awful, but I'm sort of looking forward to the RW so I don't have to watch the awful Talisa/Robb/etc... scenes any longer.

The Blackfish is too badass to die. If he actually goes to The Twins and isn't sent away on some mission, he'll jump off a tower, swim to shore, cut a bloody swath through the Bolton/Frey men, and take a group of survivors to Riverrun.
