[Book Spoilers] Ramsay's Two Women (Continued)

Recommended Posts

I agree with you there. All in all the scene didn't draw too many complaints for me, but as a tough critic--and lover of the much-cut backstory--I have a general problem with long scenes of forced nudity.

All in all, this scene didn't make my shit list :P

But that one with Mel and Gendry--where Mel goes and contradicts her reasoning for getting naked in the first place--really bothered me.

I myself don't care about nude scenes if they're used to promote the story, reveal something about a character, or are just there to make you laugh (like the Pordrick one) - but the Mel and Gendry one did none of those. It was pretty random. And, even though it made no difference to me that it was there, there's no denying that it was pointless.

I thought this scene was sleazy, digusting toture porn crap.

D&D have butchered Ramsay's character to the point where certain segments of the audience cheer for him and like him, think he's "funny".

Ramsay isn't supposed to be "funny" and likeable. He's the most repulsive and sickening character in the books, a villian you're supposed to hate.

And female sidekicks who take pleasure in an appalling mutilation? Ramsay is the ultimate misogynist scumbag sadist.

D&D are inserting typical HBO cliches into this series.
