I liked this episode, specially because there were too many weak episodes in this season so I'm being condescending. However, I'm not entirely satisfact. Too many adaptations and things non-related or unreal to the books are pissing me off.

About this episode:

1- We can comprehend Robert's bastard adaptation to screen, but why Melisandre needs his penis inside her? Just to tide him up in the bed?

2- In books, Cersei would never scold/theat Margaery so openly. The same goes to Tyrion, with his openly transgression against the king.

3- What kind of lame wedding was that? If I'm not sure, in the books it was a fine wedding, even so they were struggling on getting the king`s wedding much beautiful and memorable, in order to forget Tyrion`s.

4- The Tyrion`s whore bothers me A LOT. Now, we will have Tyrion`s motivation to kill his father and the whore just because she WAS JEALOUS OF HIM? She is a prostitute, and this is what whores do, period! Just stick with the book! This may have been the worst decision of the producers. Not wise at all.

5- The actor who plays Sam is very good. The scene (which I was expecting Coldhands) however wasn't good enough. Not enough drama with the couple and the baby nor scary, with the later sequence.

All in all, we can't expect just the "greater stuff" in episodes 9 and 10, so we can give it a 10/10 and forgive episodes that didn't bring us any excitement.

For me, it was the opposite. In the books, I feel like Cersei would never threat anyone openly(unless inferiors) like the way she did. She can be mean and egocentric but don't forget she is also intelligent and intuitive. A threat like that ("If you ever call me sister again I will have you strangled in your sleep") don't fit Cersei`s Character.

I wouldn't call book cercei "intelligent or intuitive" shes not subtle, she takes every opportunity to remind everyone of the lannisters power.

Despite everyone knowing her true colors, she is subtle. She choose her words carefully, in order to seem harmless, but in the end, has a great potential of shock.

I've been noticing this too. It's the strangest complaint in the world. D&D shouldn't have to accommodate the "I watch blood letting and mayhem with my mother, and that's okay, but we're not comfortable with our sexuality, so please stop showing it" demographic. I know we're all nerds and all, but Jesus Christ people. Don't lay your weird hang ups and insecurities at HBO's doorstep. The double standard and hypocrisy is absurd. GRRM himself has complained about readers who dislike the sex but somehow ignore the violence.

I get what you're saying, but I think the complaint for a lot of people is more that a lot of the nude scenes are put in there purely to show boob, and don't serve the plot, or don't do anything to establish a character. It doesn't offend me or bother me, I tend to watch it either alone or with mates who don't care much either, but it seems pointless at times.

I mean, there's a number of scenes I didn't have a problem with with sexual content. A lot of Dany's first season ones for example. But there's plenty that just seemed gratuitous. It'd be the same with violence if I thought they were overdoing it, but I don't think they are. The nudity they've just added for the sake of adding it. I mean, the Mel/Gendry scene....there was no reason for Mel to be naked there surely, they didn't need to start having sex to get leeches on him and have him tied up. Was done to titillate, not to tell the story. Worst example for me though was the brothel scene at the end of the first episode of the 2nd series, where there's a very loud moan just as the scene is cut to....very jarring, and the scene didn't need it.

The thing is, we know for sure they add nudity for the sake of nudity, because Neil Marshall provided an anecdote of being outright told by an executive producer that he wanted as much nudity as possible in the brothel scene in "Blackwater". That's the attitude people are complaining about, and scenes that appear to be the result of that attitude.

So, basically, they don`t care about story telling as much as they care for showing nude bodies? Should I start how many things are wrong about it?

Well, intelectual and artistic integrity of the producers is very questionable at this point.

All the old interviews of D&D talking about expecting people to be smart enought to get the show and not dumb it down, it seems they are going about this the wrong way, is this HBO version of light porn? Because they could have fit in a lot more of the story if they cut down even a little the sex and nudity, this being the only instance of ppl complaining about sex scenes just goes to show ppl will take good story telling over cheap sex scenes.

What I liked most this episode was Dragonstone. In the previous episodes, I thought they were killing Stannis' character, but this more than made up for it. I think it redeemed him in the eyes of the viewers, and I'm glad they don't portray him as a villain who doesn't care for anything anymore. He freed Davos because he knew killing Gendry was wrong. That's why he needs Davos by his side - to be his voice of reason.

somehow don't think that was the sucking that gendry had in mind.

:lmao:

Why is everybody more disturbed by the nudity than THE GODDAMN LEECH ON GENDRY'S PENIS?

Can't speak to the nudity (I'm generally in favour) but a good leeching is hardly disturbing. Throughout the history of time 17 bazillion men have had a leech stuck to their cocks, it's hardly life threatening or in fact that sore. Spare a thought for poor Theon, what he wouldn't give right now to have a leech attached to his knob. Well, truth be told there may very well be a leech attached to his cock but the point is that Theon wouldn't know if there were and that's just wrong.
