Overall I quite liked this episode. The scenes in Kings Landing were great, I liked that there were some humorous scenes to contrast with the tragedy of the Red Wedding next week. I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of show Daario as I did not care for this characters in the book at all. Also I really loved the scene between Stannis and Davos, I'm glad that they got some more screentime together. Lack of Theon was a good thing to me, I'm tired of the torture scenes anyway. I'm disappointed that Robb and Cat were absent I felt that they were featured way too little this season, that especially goes for Cat.

Gendry's genitry was sucked like it was never sucked before!!!

Butt seriously, this episode was pretty good, I just wish they had given more screen time to Robb and Cat this season, when the RW hits next episode, it's really not going to have the earth-shattering significance it should to the non-book-readers. Basically, if they could have replaced all the needless Theon torture scenes (that were never even in the book) with more Robb/Cat, we would be in good shape. But alas, no.

Good episode overall, I liked the camera angles and the staging of the Wedding. If they already used so much extras for Tyrion's wedding I believe RW and PW will be visually impressive.

Not much jumping arround, I don't mind when we don't see every character in every episode, so everybody has long scenes without a cut. In The Walking Dead they had complete episodes only about Andrea and Michonne and even though the story development was kinda slow, I prefered it this way.

Sansa kneel - well, Sansa is already getting all the hate because she discriminates dwarfs so they have to make her kneel.

The sex talk has to stop. In every added scene they do it. When Mel used "dried-up-cunts" - she is a priestess after all. This is a line I expect from Cersei or the Hound...

I don't think it hurts if you have leeches on your penis by the way, but maybe these were cursed leeches or something, or something like the mutant leeches Khan uses in Star Trek II.

The ending was weird - like, just, badly edited. The cut from Sam to the credits was clumsy and the music wasn't really playing ...

But I have to say one thing: PETER DINKLAGE WAS NAILING IT TONIGHT. Holy shit, you can see he studied drama in London...

As a guy who hasnt read any of the books i have to say it was good episode , cant wait for the finale

Now the list

1st Gendry is getting more action in bed than me and i dont like that .... i do wonder how will Robb /Joff and the other lord die ... probably will see in the finale

2nd The hound becamed good ? , finaly the Arya will see her brother and mother , before they get burned or something...

3rd Tyrion best of the best , proving his goodness and i hope he wont die any time soon..

4th RLY ? Sam ... RLY ? ... 8 thousand and who knows how long living whitewalker walks up to a unskilled fat boy who loves a overly abused from father girl with no company (hey im going to kidnap a baby from a crow who has been at the fist of the first man , mby they dig up something that defeated us long time ago...mby i should send more than 1 walker , NAH ..... ) and tries to take a baby only to be stabbed and dies? , if i was on his place i would be like , TAKE THE WOMAN , TAKE THE BABY , LET ME LIVE PLEASE I DONT WANA DIE LIKE A VIRGIN. *With cry and pissing in my paints....

5th I also like the guy who cuts his own friends heads so he can get some mother of the dragon ass ...... Season four incoming sex scenes with Daenerys and the " im the simple man"

6th Im not sure if people hate Shae because she will do something awful to Tyrion .. or because she is a whore in real life too .... i keep forgeting to download her porn stuff ...

7th and final , My prediction for the finale is

Daenerys Wins the battle and sails for the westeros , 2 Lords and 1 King die , Jaimie return of the new king , Tyrion owning some father ass , Stanis owning everyone :P

Now the questions

Who takes Robbs place if he dies? , Blackfish ? i would like him to leed the armies .... i think im going to see Arya leading thousans of men in season 4 or 5 ... idk i have that feeling ....

Who takes Joffrey place if he dies ? , The queen? , Stanis? , nvm dont answer i think in season 4 i will know ...

As a virgin i approve all sex scenes and naked girls

Thats it from me this episode , Cant wait for episode 9

since season 2, I've been buzzing on the amazing music written for the Others- so where was it? That Sam scene was excellent- but it could have been mind-bendingly terrifying had the Other been approaching to the accompaniment of that dread-music- just as they did when he approached at the end of season 2. they had a few screeches, but that was about it.

On the whole, that episode lacked music to drive it on. It was well written and crafted, but I wasn't emotionally on board. A noisy musical wedding would have contrasted well with the glum moods of Tyrion, Sansa, Cercei, Margary, Loras, Tywin, but it was lost in the background making for a more sedate affair.

Coldhands! =D

No, the ravens weren't sent by Coldhands. It's all Bryden Rivers / Bloodraven orchestrating the whole thing.

Wow way to not read the article. Oona Chaplin was talking about another actress on the set.

Still, kind of shitty that they wrote Ros out of the show simply because she wouldn't do nudity anymore.

Comes with the territory. Ros is a whore, what else is she going to do?

He was just following orders!

I know some other people who said that...

Ask D&D. Pretty sure we got the "older gentleman", though. Doesnt mean CH doesnt show up in Ep10. Who knows?

Older Gentleman was indeed, and obviously, the Other. FFS. How is this not clear?!

Were those birds on the weirwood near Sam a reference to Bloodraven, or was I imagining it?

Yep. Bloodraven sent them to warm Sam.

I. enjoyed. every. second.

I notice a lot of people watch the show with their moms and complain about the sex scenes making them uncomfortable. try watching it alone.

My mom came in just as Dany was getting out of her bath tub. :D

Yeah that sex scene was definitely too drawn out and I felt like I was watching Cinemax briefly.

Wow, prude much? You must be American...

I am confused isnt Daario Naharis with the Stormscrow and not theThe second sons. Where is Ben Plumm

No Plumm, no Stormcrows.

I've been noticing this too. It's the strangest complaint in the world. D&D shouldn't have to accommodate the "I watch blood letting and mayhem with my mother, and that's okay, but we're not comfortable with our sexuality, so please stop showing it" demographic. I know we're all nerds and all, but Jesus Christ people. Don't lay your weird hang ups and insecurities at HBO's doorstep. The double standard and hypocrisy is absurd. GRRM himself has complained about readers who dislike the sex but somehow ignore the violence.

I agree. Then again, that's a very American way to think. "Violence is totally ok but ERMAGERD A NIPPLE?! SUE THE BASTARDS!"

As a guy who hasnt read any of the books i have to say it was good episode , cant wait for the finale

I have to ask... what are you doing in the book spoiler part of the episode's discussion then? I mean, all you're doing now is making wrong assumptions, making yourself look silly in a place where people assume you've read the books.

And just because I can, I want to point out that there's a use to Melisandre riding Gendry.

Not to "get his blood going" or whatever. And not because of the nudity quota, either.

It's because if Melisandre gets pregnant from Gendry, that means another shadowbabyassassin. Why is everybody forgetting this?! She uses his blood AND his seed.

Ok, first off, why are you in here, if you truly haven't read the books? It's clearly marked book spoilers!

Liked the episode, the nudity doesn't bother me as much as some of the sex talk. The Titans bastard really let it fly, holy crap! IDK, I just had a hard time believing a Khaleesi would sit back and be disrespected like that. I know it shows she has restraint but still. And why would they meet the three best swordsman from a company of sellswords and not have the dragons there for protection? She could have easily been killed.

Poor Arya, she actually seemed happy, for the first time since season 1, after hearing where they were going.

Sansa/Tyrion wedding, eh, ok

Sam the Slayer, just fine, nice to see him not be a coward.

Stormcrows and Second Sons were merged. I doubt we'll ever seen Ben Plumm.

But dont the 2nd sons go on to support Young Aegon/Griff? They are he Blackfyre group, nay? what will they be doing up in Mereene when they should be near Volantis?

That's the Golden Company isnt it? I think the Second Sons are fighting with the Yunkai.

2- In books, Cersei would never scold/theat Margaery so openly. The same goes to Tyrion, with his openly transgression against the king.

But that's what Tyrion did. Several times (and yes, he did threaten to cut off Joff's dick during the wedding). Which finally bit him on the ass during his trial.

3- What kind of lame wedding was that? If I'm not sure, in the books it was a fine wedding, even so they were struggling on getting the king`s wedding much beautiful and memorable, in order to forget Tyrion`s.

Really? My recollection is that it was a rapidly prepared and executed ceremony, with only a handful of guests present. Joffrey's wedding was extravagant not to overshadow Tyrion's nuptial, but simply because that's how a king's wedding is supposed to be.

So, basically, they don`t care about story telling as much as they care for showing nude bodies? Should I start how many things are wrong about it?

Come on, that's a gross oversimplification. If they cared about T&A only, they could make that kind of a show much, much cheaper. You don't need to be that observant to notice that between all those boobs and buttocks they're actually telling a story.

Explain me why did we need a naked Melisandre to preform leeches ritual, and why of all places his penis was the best place to put one (although Robb`s penis led him to his doom, so that might be some kind of foreshadowing)? I understood when Brienne and Jaime were naked, even with Jon and Ygritte, it was normal for Robb and Talis. This one is simply above me. I don`t see what kind of story her boobs and buttocks are telling, but that`s just me.

Hound sounds awkward and a lot nicer than usual.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. He should have said "bloody wedding".... and apart from that, his tone is way too nice. I cannot wait to see how he smashes that axe in Arya's back. I hope they won't cut out such a scene.

Maybe to cover all basses and get the seed and the blood. But I agree she could've just lifted her dress too.

'Cause Carice van Houten looks very fine naked. Duh. But you're claiming that, let me quote,

they don`t care about story telling as much as they care for showing nude bodies
Which is way, way exaggerated. In a 57-minutes episode they put maybe four minutes of nudity and that's enough to say the nudity is the most important thing on the show? Edited by mcb
