ser selmy

Recommended Posts

So I got to thinking the other day about a thread from a month ago that kinda hinted that selmy was nowhere near the swordsman he once was bc how he allowed the pit fighter slip through his defenses which would indicate that he's slipping bc of age. As a counter argument, I don't believe that this is the case. he is still one of the top swordmans on all the land. As evidence he wrecked the titans Bastard with basically a quarterstaff. In addition, a great fighter will use every advantage available to him. While fighting the pitt fighter, he knew beyond a doubt that his armor was more than sufficient to deflect any strikes that he didn't care to parry allowing him to wait to see an opening to strike and finish his adversary. So even If age has slowed him slightly his experience has probably surpassed anything anyone else could hope to achieve. I still believe he may be within the top 3 most feared men anyone would ever wish to face on the field let alone in single combat. What say you?
