ChromeWeasel Posted June 7, 2013 Share Posted June 7, 2013 I can't recall what happens in the book, but in "Rains of Castamere" Jojen makes it pretty clear that Bran's ability to warg into a human is unique, which implies no one else could warg into a human body period, whether from their human body or an animal's. That's TV canon, not book canon, mind you.In the book, Varamyr is able to skinchange into the body of the old wildling woman. She realizes what's going on though, and rages against the possession so violently that Varamyr moves one of his wolves instead.It's pretty clear in the book that Varamyr would be able to skinchange Hodor if he wanted to.
