So who Daemon married, a full family tree of the Blackfyres, what happened to Sheira Seastar (if it doesn't spoil anything), why Bloodraven was really put in the Black Cells and basically things we don't know about them that add more to their back story. Arataniello Posted July 12, 2013 Share Posted July 12, 2013 Since much of the later Blackfyre history is going to be concurrent with the lifetimes of Dunk and Egg, I think we are unlikely to get too many revelations about any Blackfyres between what we know now (as at the end of the Mystery Knight) and the events at Summerhall.It's still possible we could get something about the Blackfyres (such as were left) from the reign of Jaeherys until the War of the Ninepenny Kings. Including the Ninepenny Kings and the attempted rebellion in the Mystery Knight, we know for certain that there were at least 4 attempted Blackfyre Rebellion/Invasions after the initial war. There's just no possible way that Maelys is any further then Daemon's grandson, remember that people like Bloodraven, Maekar and even Dunk were alive at the time of the original war and at the time of the Ninepenny Kings. If Maelys was a fifth generation Blackfyre then he could only be a few years old at most at the time we know he was leading the Golden Company and invading Westeros.I think the statement has to be interpreted as referring to there being five Blackfyre wars, rather then five generations of Blackfyres.1 - The Blackfyre Rebellion2 - The Mystery Knight fiasco3 and 4 - the two inavsions that Bittersteel launches5 - The war of the Ninepenny Kings Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, if we count by generations of Targaryen monarchs and given that they tend to have their offspring at a very early age, we have:1st: Daeron II2nd: His sons Baelor, Aerys I and Maekar,3rd: His grandson Aegon IV4th: Duncan the Small and Jaehaerys II5th: Aerys IIDuring the war of the 9PK, Duncan the Small and Jaehaerys were in their thirties, so they were certainly involved in the war.
