Aeron meets Patchface

It seems quite probable to me that those two characters were set up to meet from the onset of the series. It is likely that Aeron would be in awe of Patchface and take him for the Drowned God incarnate. Where does it go from there, remains unclear, but either Aeron would pledge the Ironborn (as far as he can control them) to Stannis' cause, or he would try and take Patchface with himself back to the Iron Islands to rule over the Ironborn and thus to oust the pesky Euron with the highest trump card available in their Drowned God deck. How would Euron react to it would be a guess at that point, since it is unclear if he would have finished his own personal quest by taking Oldtown, but it would probably involve something to do with his warlocks in an attempt to show an even bigger miracle.

The more interesting part is to speculate as to how Aeron and Patchface meet. There is already a theory on these forums that Aeron has gone North to the Land of always winter in a last-ditch attempt of a spiritual journey or whatever due to his practical exile at the hands of the new regime on the Islands. Whether he is captured by someone and brought to Castle Black or the events there lead to the escape of the Queen's retinue along with Patchface who happen to go west for the Shadow Tower, or wherever else their paths may combine, an interaction between the Ironborn and Patchface seems a very likely scenario according to me. And there is also the option of Aeron going back South with the Others at his heel and then meeting with the Queen's entourage (Patchface included) which either reinforces his belief that the Others are an instrument of the Drowned God, or makes him rethink his view on them (assuming that at this point he has one on them).

Even more of a reason to surprise the readers. Seriously, Aeron is in a stalemate at the Islands. This isn't Balon who wouldn't mind his craziness, or Victarion who is too stupid and even Aeron can outsmart him - he now has to deal with a very smart, even crazier and very cruel king. If Aeron doesn't thread really carefully, his head would be forfeit immediately. That's why he has to seek a spiritual journey, or however he would rationalize it, at a safer distance from Euron. And Aeron knows it, even if only on a subconscious level. Plus, what else can Aeron do at the Islands? Raise the Reader and his Harlaws in rebellion? The Reader was already warned by Euron, and given his intelligence, it is unlikely that he would kick around his health insurance like this, figuratively speaking.

Has GRRM said anything about Aeron's chapters in TWOW? For some reason I was thinking they'd be set in the Iron Islands.

He offered to read an Aeron chapter from TWOW at a reading, but the crowd chose to have the Arianne chapter read instead. He said the Aeron chapter was seriously messed up up something to that effect.
