Small Questions v 10012

Why didn't Barristan Selmy reveal to Dany right away that Jorah had been spying on her?

Probably because it was a highly awkward situation. He was the new guy, Mormont was highly trusted who would of believed him, remember he is telling a lie himself at the time. When it came out he was Selmy everything pretty much came out.

What about UnOtho and the other wight in Game?

Othor and the other black brother were carried through the wall by the Nights Watch, they were not placed within the wall itself. The Ice cells are carved into the wall. They were placed in the stables or near the forge or someting along those lines.

To bad he hasn't realized the wall is preventing them from changing.

Maybe he was hoping they would be the same way. But I think they were already "wightish" when they were brought back.

Perhaps he was trying to find out Jorah's intentions, and whether or not he was really trying to help Dany.

Yes they were already wights with the blue eyes and black hands as well. Theory is they couldn't pass through the wall because of what they were, so they played possum waiting to be found. It appears to be a trap by the Others to assasinate Mormont. But it's all speculation.

Do you remember what the Other one was doing?

Look son when it comes to possum, you got a put a little south in your mouth. Besides nobody likes the "O", the "O" doesn't play.

I thought I was the only one southern enough to know what a possum was. :)

And the other Wight:

The other wight, the one-handed thing that had once been a ranger named Jafer Flowers, had also been destroyed, cut near to pieces by a dozen swords... but not before it had slain Ser Jaremy Rykker and four other men. Ser Jaremy had finished the job of hacking its head off, yet had died all the same when the headless corpse pulled his own dagger from its sheath and buried it in his bowels. Strength and courage did not avail much against foemen who would not fall because they were already dead; even arms and armor offered small protection.
Had to go comb through nearly the whole chapter to find that.

BTW You don't have to be southern to know about opossum. Parts of Los Angeles are overrun with the damn things.
