Horza
Gryph, I read the transcript. He only talks about Fairfax. This Q&A was also five days AFTER the AEC announcement. Again, if you want to present evidence of the Indi results being challenged by an outside party BEFORE the AEC announced they'd found a mislabelled pile of votes be my guest. Otherwise, I'm leaving it here.
Screaming Turkey Ultimate
I will be cycling twenty earth kilometres tomorrow. They say the human body is 70% water... That's why you exercise at night, you fool. I do most of my running at 9:30 p fucking m. No cars or people around, cool temperatures, mysterious atmosphere. Everyone but me is doing it wrong. "Oh, but won't you be attacked by violent hooligans in the dead of night," the wailing masses scream. "Sure," I say, but the extra exertion of fighting off the mischevous rapscallions of the night only adds to the pleasure of an intense night run. Do you guys even understand the transcendance I have achieved? The state of complete nothingness after your legs have physically exploded? You've probably never even heard of eastern philosophy. Talk to me again when you've reached Nirvana, materialistic scum. Anyway, nice weather recently. You guys should be enjoying this glorious heat! karaddin
Exercising at night can increase cortisol levels in your body leading to putting weight on in your gut despite an excellent exercise regime and diet! Not that you'd have that problem. Bastard.
sh_wulff
I prefer excercise as the sun is rising- equally cool and probably less drunken hooligans.
delete this account pls
Out of control bushfires now coming at my hometown from the north and the east at the same time. Never had a major bushfire in that area before, not since I was born anyway, but they're sure making up for lost time. Given that there are only 5 roads out of town and 2 of them are now cut off, this could get ugly.
Stubby
Stay safe, mate. Let us know how you get on if you can. :(
delete this account pls
Oh I'm fine, I live dont here anymore, but I am worried about my friends and family. People in that area just arent prepared for this sort of thing, unfortunately.

karaddin
What the drop bear said. I like this quote from smh:Conditions will deteriorate again this weekend across South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, the ACT and into Monday in NSW but it won't become as bad as today due to lighter winds and higher humidity. For southeastern Australia, this doesn't mean the bushfire season is over. There will still be some days of concern in November and during summer.Anyone that would think the bushfire season might be over 6 weeks into spring needs help. This summer has all the makings of being nasty.
delete this account pls
It's pretty nuts having fires this severe this early. And in areas that arent the usual trouble spots. good thing Abbott shut down the climate change commission!
Stubby
I can't remember who it was but someone here was predicting a very hot summer this year. Lots of rain this winter = lots of fuel this summer + very hot summer = time to clean the gutters, clear away the leaf litter and make sure the hoses haven't perished. brook
smh are reporting homes lost at springwood. The sky here is orange and my eyes were watering walking to pick up the boys. There is apparently a grass fire at Northmead but the majority of that smoke would be coming from the mountains which is pretty crazy.
Warg Arry
Goodness stay safe everyone. It's fairly tinderbox like around here. It hasn't rained for months. All it needs is some nutter to spark something.I can only imagine what it's like for everyone else. Especially when the fires are already going. Jeor
Yeah, definitely smokey all around here in the Hornsby region of Sydney. Extremely windy around here too in 35C heat, so terrible conditions for it all to be happening.

The orange light give the place a truly bizarre feel, and it seems like the whole city smells of smoke. The wind's from the west I guess and blowing the smoke over everything. delete this account pls
The fires in western sydney look horrific. Checked in with the family. The fire has swung back around. The Pacific highway north of the Hunter river is now closed up to Raymond Terrace. Newcastle Airport and the RAAF base at Williamtown also closed and have been evacuated. Family is doing OK, and they live in the middle of town anyway so for the fire to reach them it would have to be of biblical proportions but they prepped some bags and stuff anyway just in case. Bless those rural firies. They've been at it since Monday.
Horza
I've got a pair of smoked eyeballs if anyone's feeling peckish.
The Winged Shadow
The moon is orange, the whole cbd smeels of smoke. Airport shut down. Fun times. At least the cool coastal winds are picking up. Gonna be so high tomorrow from all the smoke.
delete this account pls
I can see the glow from my backyard. I'm safe where I am, it'd need to come through the middle of town to get me and that'd be a fire of biblical proportions but it's still too close for comfort. Things are bad down raymond terrace way. Parents are safe but the fire reached the far side of town. Surrounding areas have been evacuated.
