karaddin
Upset by continued adherence to a shit policy, or feeling betrayed because Malcolm was "our guy" in the Liberal party? I'm guessing you mean shit along the lines of the latter option.
The Real Will
It's actually a bit surreal. I knew there'd be a couple of partisans who'd love the Coalition NBN just because the Coalition thought of it, but there's actually a guy blessing the Liberal part for saving his precious copper wires . . . This person may be a troll, but I can't quite decide.
karaddin
The last 6 years seem to have firmly sheared many peoples connection to reality. Either I'm one of them, or they are primarily on the conservative side of politics.
Warg Arry
I tweeted Malcom Turnball in response to his. "Didn't we just have an election where NBN was a key issue"And made the mistake of reading the other tweets. I just can't believe the amount of unreasonable stupid that can be expressed in less than 140 characters.Though to be fair there was a very vocal few that were saying. 4.8 mil voted in Abbott. The majority won. go cry somewhere else. Also I read this morning that Tony Abbott will be spending 300 million less on climate change.Their campaign slogan should have been. The future? Fuck it. Horza
People who think that the Coalition is going to change policy on the strength of an online petition are dear to my heart, but there really appear to be people who thought that Malcolm Turnbull didn't mean it and spent months and years coming up with that policy just to dump it after the election, and their anguish amuses me greatly. karaddin
My hopes for the NBN are 1) they don't sell off NBN Co in their first term and 2) they are only in for 1 term. I'm not pinning much hope on either of these however.
Horza
Wise. The essential thing is that Australian governments as a rule are utterly abysmal when it comes to telco and internet policy, the vision and political will of the Conroy era is the exception. But to sit back and just let the shit roll on. Feels wrong.Where's the harm in exercising our right to express concern.

Stubby
The NBN was 1 election issue. Climate Change was another. Border Security was another. But, the Liberals not being Labor was the main election issue as far as I can tell.Turnbull claiming his +3 mandate for change (love that term Will) as authority is predictable but disingenuous. If it really is the case that voters didn't care about the real issues after arriving at the conclusion that the coalition is "Not Labor" then maybe they really will just be one term wonders. I haven't worked out the scale but it's definitely below wristbands.Wait. I guess there's twibbons. It's better than them.

The Winged Shadow
As much as I want Albo to win, wasn't there some stats about opposition leader who come into leadership after an election fail never winning the next election? or something along that line?Dare we play the odds? Then again, I can't stand Shorten. Fucking prick boned Rudd, then boned Gillard. The douche is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with Labor internal bitching.
Horza
Albo probably won't win in 2016, but he's got much better credentials on party reform than Shorten and he's got zero respect for Abbott and will put pressure on him from day one.Plus the salty tears from the Right if he got up on the rank and file vote would be delicious. In other news: view this animation to realise how terrible the Australian Senate currently is. Every
I like Albo, and therefore I want him to lose this go round. Let Shorten take it, get the boot as will inevitably happen to whoever is the next leader, and then Albo can come in and hopefully last a decent period. Deedles
Thoughtful, and thought provoking article here, from the Guardian, by Julia Gillard. I really regret her political passing. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/sep/13/julia-gillard-labor-purpose-future
