Mithras
Ser Duncan will go to Winterfell in the upcoming D&E story. Some of us think that Brienne is descendant of Ser Duncan. So my question is, considering her story arc so far, is it possible that Brienne pay a visit to Winterfell? If so what would be her mission and who else can be with her? Mithras
Yeah but Brienne remembered an old shield in her fathers arsenal on which Duncan's sigil was painted.
Aderyn the Sly
The only reason that I could think of Brienne going to Winterfell would be to return Sansa or Arya there, and that's presuming she lives.Yes, fake Arya is already there, but Lady Stoneheart knows that isn't really her. The Brotherhood had Arya not long before Dondarian resurrected unCat, and in the epilogue of Feast we can see they are looking for her (asking if they saw the Hound near the Twins with a "squire" or "boy")
The Dornish Direwolf
I don't think Ser Duncan is Brienne ancestral, not evey tall person in Westeros is Ser Duncan relativeit can be some genetic issueBefore AFFC was released, GRRM basically confirmed that a descendant of Duncan was in the book. That statement, combined with her having her shield painted with Ser Duncan's sigil pretty much confirms she IS a descendant of his in my eyes. Or that it would at least be a possibility?Of course if there is news that Arya was escorted from KL to Winterfell, then they's know she was the fake Arya! No doubts there as they know Sandor had her.

juanml82
Well, Brienne has a sort of situation to solve in the Riverlands, which might make her permanently incapacitated to travel north, or anywhere else for that matter. If she does regain freedom of movement, I don't think she'd have a reason to go north inmediately unless LS is convinced Arya is in Winterfell. I'm not sure she'll go looking for Sansa in Winterfell, specially if she hears what's going on up there - there is simply no way Sansa is hiding in Winterfell. She might try to go to Greywater Watch, though.

No doubts there as they know Sandor had her.I'm not an expert in this regard - and it's especially hard when the chapters aren't chronological - but I think that you might be right. Sandor had her during the Red Wedding, and fake Arya left after the Red Wedding. However, I think they would know that the Arya in Winterfell is an imposter, because they know Arya was at the Twins at the time of the RW and it would have taken a helluva run to get to KL I think. Plus, Brienne knows that the Arya in Winterfell is a fake. She saw Jeyne before she left King's Landing.
