It's a thin line between love and hate. The woman's name on Rhaegar's lips as he died was Lyanna, but it's all about context: "Oh Robert, we were star-crossed lovers forced to duel to the death, but don't ever tell Lyanna..." Later, Lyanna made Ned promise not to tell her any details about Rhobgart because she couldn't bear to hear how her beloved Rhaegar had betrayed her affections: "Promise me, Ned."

Also, maybe Ned did father a bastard with the anonymous fisherwoman and his name is Jon Snow. He's just not the Jon Snow. There's no law saying two different people can't have the same name and Ned's bastard son could just be a fisherman somewhere on the Sisters. The epilogue of ADOS could be the two Jon Snows swapping war stories:

"The last few years have been rough. I fought/pretended to join the wildings, became Lord Commander of/got stabbed by the NW, battled the Others and more..."

My only observation, and keep in mind I ADORE Kit Harrington, is that the images from the graphic magazine show his features as more angular and more aquiline than the rest of the Stark males.

Kits features, while certainly handsome, seem a little more "baby faced."

This isn't the image from the graphics, (Frozenfire3 where are you?), but this a piece that makes me think this is a little more what he would look like. I also imagine his hair more straight.

Lol, one of my pet theories- Wylla Manderly is Jons twin. I figure I should get at least a few of them right by the end of the series. :P And I was also enamored of the idea that in the end, Elia gets a break. Yes, I think it's a clue that it's a Stark story. As for what else they might know, it seems logical that Howland at least would know about R+L=J. We have Meera's "that's another story..." which might indicate that she knows something more about the Wolf Maid too.

To me, the best piece of evidence for the R+L=J Theory is the presence of the Kingsguard at the Tower of Joy.

You all know the conversation, so I won't repeat it here.

But here's a question that I'd ask naysayers: Why else would the three Kingsguards still be at the Tower of Joy after Rhaegar and Aerys were dead? Wouldn't their oath compel them to travel across the sea to Viserys and guard him since he's lawfully the heir to the Targaryen dynasty?

Even if they were supposed honorable enough to follow their crown prince's last order to the death, it would be a violation of their oaths as Kingsguards. Their duty to their king should be priority over everything else including their personal honor as pointed out when Jamie objected to Aerys raping the queen.

So why are that at the Tower of Joy? The most logical answer is that they're there to defend Rhaegar's unborn child...a child who to their knowledge is the true heir to the Targaryen dynasty. It's also very stupid for Rhaegar to not bring your three best warriors with you when you go to war. Why would he leave them with some Stark girl unless she was pregnant with his child? I'd personally have taken at least one of them with me and left two with Lyanna, but why else would Rhaegar leave out three ummatched trump cards? If they had gone with him, then Robert may not have been able to touch Rhaegar.

You just supported the case that Rhaegar and Lyanna were married polygamously and the Kingsguard were at the Tower of Joy instead of with Viserys because Jon, not Viserys, was at that time the rightful king. Congratulations.
