somebody clear a few things up for me ?

And here's another thing. How can they take over Essos, much less the rest of the world, if they can't cross water? Unless they figure it out or there's something we haven't seen yet, they're confined to Westeros.

    [Spoilers] E801 Discussion

Pinning Ned Umber to the wall was a warning. They destroyed last Hearth and wiped out a noble house, they wanted someone to find him and know it was the NK and that he was coming for Winter fell next.

What smart things has Sansa done?

I think folk are looking to deeply into what Arya said, it was more of a quick reaction to defend her sister... I don't think she actually considers Sansa the smartest person she has ever met... she just latched onto the word smart as that was the word Jon has used as a putdown.

It's implied that the wights don't do water. The show could show this more clearly, for sure.

    Thoughts on Bran’s character development

You think Jon would realise it too since Bran was the one who told him that the NK breached the wall with Viserion, which is pretty important information. Bran also was the one who found out who Jon really was, whether he wanted to know or not, Bran knew and made sure he was told. They just don't seem to take him seriously at all.

The Night King and King's Landing

My gut feeling is that the NK battle lasts two episodes. First one Winterfell "loses" then they come back and win. No idea what the tipping point is though. A part of me thinks the Golden Company will flip but I don't know..... But I am only guessing it lasts that long based on the reports of how long filming took and the amount of work that went into it. But then again, who knows, that may have been the normal amount of time for filming haha.

The Night King and King's Landing

Yeah, could be. Difficult to predict. But I agree, it is almost unlikely that the Battle of Winterfell is simply won by Winterfell. There needs to be more drama. Further, would be funny if Cersei's plan of waiting for the battle to be over would not work out.

    Order of deaths to come.

Not necessarily just the next episode, but my order in general. Beric, Edd, one of the dragons, Jorah, Tormund, Wright Dragon, NK, Euron, Undead Mountain, Dany and whatever dragon is left, Cersei, Tyrion I also think Varys and Mel go down but no idea where. The rest I think are safe.

    Thoughts on Bran’s character development

Oh, sorry. OK. Yeah, strange. Sam, Sansa and Arya must realise that, after the important revelations regarding Baelish end of S7. That is my prediction, too. However, the protagonists cannot really know that. Nobody really knows what the Nightking wants. Only Bran could possibly know and he is a weird character and not the most outspoken man.

Heresy 220 and the nature of magic

Leaf wandered south of the wall unrecognized, she would have been perfect for bringing the "Mother Direwolf" into position and the obsidian and the horn later. Also, the White Walkers might be the missing wood dancers of the CotF, transformed. There are more than one fraction of humans, there might be more than one fraction of CotF as well. And the one opposing the pact is behind the White Walkers.

Bad shows and movies you enjoy watching.

I constantly forget that Lynch made a Dune movie. So yeah, that definitely counts in my book.
  13. Oh, you're probably right. But, in any case, the world (and especially Dany) is gonna learn the reason for the kingslaying. Hopefully, they'll do something interesting or remotely realistic with Dany's reaction to it.

Sans a would put someone to death, as a King would do, she done so with Little finger, she just wouldn't execute them herself.

somebody clear a few things up for me ?

Speaking of the wall something I've never got... the wall ends at both sides where land meets water I imagine ? why have WW never just went round it.... The NK is a smart chap... from what we've seen and he is capable of making his army of the dead do great things... why did he never just build a small crossing round the side of the wall for his army to walk round. The Magic is contained to only the wall.. and when I say the wall I mean the actual structure not the area of space it was built... as when the wall went down they were able to cross over...

somebody clear a few things up for me ?

Agreed. Sansa priorities seem to be fine at the moment, as far as we can tell. Jon is thinking with his dick instead of brain and does not see the shortcomings of Daenerys, yet. Interesting to see how this will develop.

somebody clear a few things up for me ?

Right. She always dreamed of being a queen. Well, as a girl she wanted to be Queen for the prestige, the fine things, the adoration. Not the power. As a queen consort married to a king regent there is not so much power. Sansa has grown up to want more power, yes. Now she might really wish to be queen regent, not only queen consort. Well, difficult to say why she was pissed. She certainly cannot and want not to go into battle or lead troops or behead someone. Sansa is not really made for what a King needs to do. She just believes it could feel fine to be a Queen. Sansa mellowed and got more cunning. But queen material? I doubt it.

somebody clear a few things up for me ?

Yeah, Sansa is 100% focusing on defeating the dead, even though shes been unnecessarily hostile towards Daenerys. Yeah I know that Danaerys is not the Queen until she sits on the throne, so she shouldn't act like she is and make everyone call her Queen, but she has brought over 2 big armies, and a 2 dragons to help the North defeat the Army of the Dead, Sansa could at least appreciate that instead of making passive remarks about not being able to feed everyone.

What smart things has Sansa done?

I don't think Jon is stupid, but he does suck in communication. Even now in Winterfell, he fails to make people understand what a good person Dany is. He makes a poor case for "she is the best person to lead you all". And he has been a bit myopic to the emotions of Northerners. Something that costed him dearly the last time...
  20. It won t be a trial. They are all just pissed with him because cersei lied and want to vent...

    I am the Queen

The thing is that the hairstyles are not that distinctive. Sansa, per many, mirrors the women she admires. In season 1, after coming to KL, she mirrors Cersei's hairstyle, in Season 3 and 4, in social events, she wore the usual KL's hairstyle, but she also did her hair like Margaery. Now, the braid thing... It does make a case to be some sort of cross between Stark bun (the one Jon and Arya also have, but in much stylish way) and Dany's braids. But, with everyone having braided hair, it is kinda of pointless to make that sort of assumption (Catelyn had it, Cersei., etc.)

    Thoughts on Bran’s character development

No, I know viewers realize, I meanr characters on the show. The Night King definetely wants to take out Bran, he knows that Bran has all the knowledge needed to destroy him for good, he just may not have seen it all yet, he wants to kill Bran before he figures it out and ruins him.

    Thoughts on Bran’s character development

Bran is still a human being, he always will be. He is just different to how he uses to be. Knowing and seeing everything would do that to someone. He has less human qualities like empathy, or standard emotions.

    R+L=J v.166

Okay thank you, that is good to know. I understand what you are saying...much appreciated. My mind still has to adjust I guess from the way I viewed the story somewhat. I knew something was there but couldn't place it. It'll take a bit to try to comprehend what is being discussed. That's the difficult part when you not quite sure of the structure. But I will plow on, as really there is no turning back now.

    Thoughts on Bran’s character development

No, no, we realise that. Bran is central for the storyline, both in the books and the show. His whole arc is important from beginning to end. However, his whole thread has been quite boring in the show, the actors not the best one, not really gripping. The cave/Hodor scenes were exciting, buit the rest. Hm. Not so much. However, even in show it is clear that many scenes contain valuable information and that Bran will be decisive for the endgame. Most probably Bran is the Nightking's primary target. We will see. Just a theory.
