Kingslayer - Jaime kills the Night King

    Could very well be.
  3. King Jon Snow Stark

    Dany’s denial

Did any other Targaryens blend with Starks in the past?
  4. Ferrum Aeternum

[Poll] How would you rate episode 802?

9/10, one of the best written episodes in years.
  5. Kajjo

    Arya Losin' It

She just disguised as prostitute, she never acted as one. So no uproar.
  6. King Jon Snow Stark

    Who is Going to Die

That plan they came up with his ridiculous. He should die just for that. It was almost as bad as lets go get a wight and get a dragon killed plan.
  7. A Time for Starks

Kingslayer - Jaime kills the Night King

Looks like someone beat me to it. I was thinking that Jaime was going to be the one to kill the Night King even after episode 1. After episode 2, I'm even more convinced, especially after learning that Bran will be used as Night King "bait." I believe Jaime is destined to kill the Night King (therefore becoming the Night King Slayer) and does it in episode 3. The battle will seem lost, with the Night King just about to get to and kill Bran. I can envision Jaime charging the Night King in the same manner he charges Dany in the Field of Fire. But this time he hits his mark and kills the Night King, and also becomes mortally wounded in the process. He'll probably die in Brienne's arms, possibly confessing his love for her. It will have the perfect symmetry as he was the one to push Bran out the window in the beginning, but now he is the one to save Bran from the Night King.
  8. The Knight of Flours

    Arya Losin' It

And was there any scandal a few seasons back when Arya became a faceless prostitute to kill Meryn Trant? Let alone in the books when 12 yo(?) Dany was sold off to Khal Drogo.
  9. Kajjo

    Arya Losin' It

Exactly, nothing to discuss here. It's fine.
  10. Kajjo

    Who is Going to Die

Hm, after E2 it sounds like Bran cannot die. That would be losing everything.
  11. AryaNymeriaVisenya

    Arya Losin' It

This is what happens when Lem Lemoncloak isn't playing chaperone!! But really, she's 18 years old and having consensual intercourse with a guy she's had a crush on since she was a girl. Its her choice. Good for her
  12. King Jon Snow Stark

    Who is Going to Die

Bran dies. Varys dies. Theon dies. Jorah lives he is a becoming a voice of reason. He will be one of the people says they should marry. He dies later. Jon and Daenerys live. But she vomits all over him. Boom pregnant.
  13. Ferrum Aeternum

    Ghost

Poor Ghost. Doomed to exist only as meme fodder. Maybe they'll surprise us and give him a big role in the action next week? Surely they will pull out all the stops for the effects budget on this one.
  14. Kajjo

    Arya Losin' It

Yes, that was the point. In American culture violence and weapons are accepted a lot easier in movies (and real-life) than sex of teenagers. Europeans tend to feel the opposite. Maybe because weapons are not readily available in most European countries. More than 95% of German adults never fired a weapon (if they haven't been in the military, which is a minority, too, nowadays).

[Poll] How would you rate episode 802?

Solid 8/10. This was the first legitimately good episode of GoT in years. It may not have had the narrative thrill of faithfully adapted book material (no one does aSoIaF like Martin, after all), but it also didn't have any of the usual flaws that were present even in the early seasons. It might be one of the few well-rounded episodes of the entire show. It was honestly a pleasure to watch, something I didn't think was possible anymore with my level of indifference to GoT. Granted, you need ignore the seasons worth of hackneyed storytelling and unearned character developments, but if you can accept the spirit of what the show runners want you to feel it work very well. Cogman was always the one writer other than Martin that seemed to give a damn about these characters and how they would really behave, and this was a stark contrast last week's typical GoT experience. It was nice to be able to root for Sansa for once, or finally see book Jaime and Brienne again (her being knighted was the best scene of the episode), or Theon have a scene with Starks that he had a real connection with (even if one of them is show only). Even Arya's coldness felt like a natural progression of her story over the years. And Ghost was back!

    Dany’s denial

You can be very distantly related to the Targaryens, and still be a dragon-rider.
  17. Bran Snow

    Dany’s denial

Dany's not being able to burn is something that is only special to her, not all Targaryens.

    SPOILERS: Rant and Rave

Sorry if my comment sounded condescending. I was referring to the fact that the show gives us info or scenes right before they are needed, unlike the books, which plant seeds at various times to sprout/bloom as needed. Probably should have just said that!
  19. Bran Snow

    Dany’s denial

Yeah I agree with you. After all D&D have clearly said in the "Inside the Episode" video that only a Targaryen can ride a dragon. Of course D&D also said Dickon was Sam's older brother in the video so they clearly don't know what they are taking about.

    Dany’s denial

Forgot about that. So much for that theory. Would have been awesome though lol
  21. Greenmonsterff

    Arya Losin' It

This is hilarious. Do all Europeans have no problem with sex and murder? And what does sex have to do with murder anyhow? They are about as far apart from one another as could be. Lol
  22. Rose of Red Lake

Sansa -- "What of the North??"

I wouldn't take Littlefinger's Protege's words at face value when talking to an opponent. Sansa was toying with Dany through that whole scene. She assumed the worst (Jon is manipulated) and found out it wasn't true (Dany was). Hence, her smile. I wish you would stop using the word infatuation when Jon hasnt even said anything about his feelings about her, from his own mouth.
  23. Bran Snow

    Dany’s denial

    Yeah, Jon can burn
  24. The Knight of Flours

    Dany’s denial

The dragon-riding scene from E1 would probably have made more sense if Dany used it as a test for Jon with the 'nice knowing you' line etc and then their arrival at the waterfall being her acceptance that it is true.
  25. King Jon Snow Stark

    Dany’s denial

Didnt Jon burn his hand in season 1?
  26. Nerevanin

The white walkers want Jon Snow alive???

He didn't talk with Theon in private though. Although Theon isn't a Stark and he was born at the Iron Islands, he spent the majority / half of his life prior to the beginning of the story at Winterfell and he probably considers it his home (ithe dialogue with Yara in the last episode seems to imply it). Theon defending Bran in the godswood seems like a perfect opportunity for something like Theon: "I'm sorry for what I did, Bran!" Bran: "It's fine. The LINE". But even if this doesn't happen, I think Bran can still say the line to Jon or Arya or so when they have doubts or regret their past. But I don't want to reject your theory that the NK is a Stark and that Bran says the line to him. It would be an interesting twist.
