Why avoid a reunion between Sansa and Sandor?

The Hound didn't do any of that in the books or the show. You are misremembering.

Overlaps, Based on True Events, and Historical Fictions

Have you ever watched the O'Reilly factor? He has a segment where this guy goes out on the streets asking people questions about history, current events, etc. We're talking basic stuff that you don't have to be an expert to know. The answers would be laughable if they weren't so sad. TWU? That sounds familiar. Okay, historical fiction it is, and this make it 'pure Literature'...? I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure what you're asking here. Apology accepted. I agree that truly objective writing is hard to find. To really get a good grasp of any history, you need to read multiple sources and it can be difficult to discern what is biased and what is not. I think the more recent the history, the more true that is. For instance, people don't tend to get real emotional about medieval European history, but start talking American CW, and blood pressures rise quickly. I get your point on book vs. volume. As far as the Bible is concerned, it really doesn't matter to me. It is inconsequential. And like I said, it cannot be classified as literature or history. Neither can the Koran or other holy books. They are works of faith and inspiration that are meant to communicate a divine being's words to its followers. As a Christian, I believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. It includes history, but can't be classified as such and although it contains prose of praise and love, it can't be classified as just literature. So there is really no point is debating this any further. Neither of us is going to change our minds.

Interesting. Though superficially it doesn't seem like that protesting case has direct relevance to the Folau situation. After all, no one seems to be suggesting that Folau's tweet / instagram post (??) should be censored. The only suggestion is that he should lose his job playing Rugby in Australia for it. This basically amounts to an employment dispute concerning unacceptable conduct according to contractual conditions. So it's contract law not human rights law I guess. The one way the protest case might come into play is if according to the contract / code of conduct conditions the ARU can sack Folau, but Folau then wants to challenge the legality of that contract / code of conduct condition.

Most any competent t.v. writer could do better than them with the material. But it's no coincidence the quality of the show went way down when they started running out of book material.

    So Now We Know...

That’s an interesting theory! I had assumed the children were all extinct now but I suppose this hasn’t been confirmed concretely.

It is a little odd, but not that she would want to avoid him. After all, the hound did Joffrey's bidding, including wripping her clothing off (partially before Tyrion stopped it) before the Battle of Blackwater Bay. She got a good swatch across the face by the Hound at the command of Joffrey when he made her stair at her father's head on a spike. Although there is no direct correlation, I'm certain she still blames him for the command to kill Lady rather than Nymeria.... I'm sure I could think of other rotten things he's done/said to her, but the list would go on and on.... Cheers,

  10. Apologies if this was covered elsewhere but the Walkers aren't a threat to Essos? So the Golden Company, etc... is just available to come over the sea to fight for money and everyone in Braavos can just hang out and do business as usual? It's funny to do this massive world building and then seemingly act like one piece falling to the Walkers, who travel by foot, is the apocalypse.

    So Now We Know...

Good question. I hadn’t really thought about it until now - I guess I just accepted it as one of those magical elements that defies rational explanation. Mankind hasn’t exactly been using the previous three eyed raven’s knowledge bank for anything explicit, unless it’s sole purpose is just to exist and be preserved (or to be transferred to Bran to use now). No one in the present time seemed to know what a three eyed raven was or that one existed until Bran.

Who is their father? What is their value if they are physically broken? Bronn became a knight ...being knighted is a way to build your name. Proven in battle. They physically climbed to joffreys side. Then SC bolted when he thought the stakes are too high. Fire is too much. Not worth it. He'd rather poo in a hole and win a battle. He literally just wants to fight for what's right.
  14. I mean, it all looks silly. That's an egalitarian quality to CGI, so don't think that's a concern. Well, that's you then. Think someone else mentioned this, but if that's the case there's really no point to be on this thread.

And yet, they are kind of hard to miss. This is relevant how? Something that is in high demand, given the current situation.

Thanos brings out the homo erectus in us all. And all humans will report to theaters next week. If these movies are ever going to receive recogNition now would be a good opportunity to reward the entire decade long phenomenon as it culminates. Can't you almost taste the culmination? All humans will. They must. At some point Oscar starts to look mentally handicapped for holding out.

I think Jpn's name really could be Aegon in the books. Rhaegar seemed to think the prince that was promised was Aegon the Conqueror reborn, and that's the reason why there needed to be three heads. He named his first son Aegon and his daughter Rhaenys, he probably wanted another daughter to name Visenya. Now either Rhaegar thought when Elia couldn't have another child that the son he named Aegon wasn't the prince that was promised since there wasn't three heads, or the fact that Lyanna had a boy meant his first son wasn't the prince that was promised. Regardless I think he may have named him Aegon for that reason alone.

Tasmania and Victoria recently passed legislation limiting protesters outside clinics to no closer than 150 metres from the entrance. Two protesters were arrested and convicted for violating the distance. One was from Victoria and the other was from Tasmania. Both took their convictions through all the lower courts all the way to the High Court, arguing that the statutory provisions setting up the offences were unconstitutional in that they infringed free speech, among other things. The HCA decided that the statutes did not breach the Constitution. The convictions were upheld. Contained in the reasons was the following explanation of the implied right to freedom of political communication: "It is well settled that the implied freedom is a limitation upon the power of government to regulate communication relating to matters of government and politics. It does not confer a right to communicate a particular message in a particular way. The common law right to protest or demonstrate may be abrogated by statute." Here is a link to the decision. Perhaps they thought it would look silly? They certainly like Dinklage, but they don't give a damn about the character Dinklage is supposed to be playing, are they? I mean, why do we care who rides a dragon in the show? There is no system to this. Even Jon riding a dragon was completely arbitrary was essentially in no way narratively connected to his parentage. It was basically just a funny lead-up scene to sex. There is a meta-level to this for book nerds, of course, reading this as sign for Jon's Targaryen ancestry, etc. but that's not part of the internal continuity of the show as long nobody talks about who can ride a dragon for what reason. Didn't really get that Tyrion could still ride a dragon. But then, even if he does, it would mean nothing to me. I'd not read that as confirmation of Tyrion's true parentage or anything. I never even read Dany-Jon as confirmation of their romance. I truly am this detached from this thing.

Not about the ship it's about them meeting in passing. Cleganes are not highborn. They are huge and fierce and arguably valued by the crown. The BS crown. Once he says f*** the king he becomes a sellsword. With a price on his head. The only thing that they have of value is their fighting ability.
