Blind Beth the Cat Lady
People who don't think, at all, even a little bit, deep down in their hearts, that the pyramids *might* have been built by aliens...probably haven't personally seen the pyramids. Those things are freaky. But as to the actual subject of this thread...I think there's a great chance that the original dragons really did come from a cracked moon; if so then yes, aliens visited Westeros. I've also had quite a long think about whether the God-King, the first ruler of the Great Empire of the Dawn, might have been an alien. He's said to have ascended back up to the stars afterwards instead of dying. Visiting alien? Perhaps mystical and god-like qualities were attributed later to explain his alien technology? Another thing...one of his descendants, the Pearl Emperor, was said to have ridden around in a palanquin carved of a single pearl. Think about that image. Looks kind of like a space-pod, right? Probably not, but...a woman cannot help but wonder!
roryclague
Humans are the aliens. Somehow there was a problem when their generation ship arrived, and those emerging from cryosleep had no way to remember their past or the hundreds of years on the ship. Planetos is old and several native intelligent species has evolved over millions of years.
Blind Beth the Cat Lady
^^^ I kinda like that, actually. Aliens, i.e. humans, arrive, God-Emporer and Great Empire of the Dawn are based on the tech they brought with them, then they discover magic works on this new world, mess with it too much, Bloodstone Emperor and ensuing Long Night destroy almost everything. Could be.
