Nolan Clegane
Stand alone book by Simon Morden... I simply can't get into this book. Granted, I'm only 200 pages in and it is a big book, so I will keep trudging along, but I'm not in love with this story and I guess sometimes that is just how it goes. He is telling a story of a world that is our own but magic once was prevalent and now it is no longer a factor. One of the main characters, Buber, initially comes off as a potential interesting character, but so far I'm not impressed. He's dull, unimpressive, has no distinguishing traits-good or bad, overall just a flat character. I'm tempted to put it down and start the Patrick Rothfuss series and/or something by Scott Lynch. Anyone else reading anything by Morden? Am I premature in my judgement on Arcanum?
