Hey everyone, I thought I should put this thread here because I don't want to cause any spoilers for folks still reading ASofS (and I don't know how to hide spoilers =[).
From what I recall, the kinslayer in westeros is accursed in the eyes of the gods. Well... technically, didn't Robb Stark kill his own kin when he executed Karstark?
Obviously Robb had the Red Wedding coming for screwing up ol' grumpy Walder Frey. But could the Red Wedding also have been karma to Robb for killing his kin?
Robb Stark the Kinslayer?

I don't know if you can call a Karstark "kin" to a Stark. The Karstarks are descended from the Starks but it was a long time ago and they're separate houses now.
And btw, there's a button on the first bar (next to the "font" button) that says "special BB code"; click it and choose spoiler if you want to hide something.

No. If this rule applied Robert Baratheon would also be a kinslayer.

The Karstarks disagree. The boast about their distant relations to the Starks of Winterfell. And considering what happened to Robert maybe the gods consider him a kinslayer?

GRRM said that Rickard Karstark was "reaching" when he called Robb a kinslayer IIRC

The Karstarks are kin to the Starks, but being legally punished for a crime and outright murder are different. Robb was bringing justice for the crime that Karstark committed.
