  1. I was Reading the Windblown Chapter, I read a line that made me laugh out loud and left me wondering if it's a Monty Python reference

page 325 in my copy, i think Books, Beans and Dick Straw were talking about the unsullied about having to face the queens real unsullied

"....the dragon's queen has got the real item, the kind that don't break and run when you fart in their general direction" HAHAHA GOOD STUFF!!!

there's no doubt in my mind if George intentionally put that in there as a reference, just wondering if anyone else has an opinion on the matter????

This is a repost after i found the proper thread

In addition there is a character Named Hobb a cook i think, could it be a reference to Robin Hobb

  2. Great Episode wish it was ten more minutes of Blackwater than this one, although can't see much of this episode that could be lost.

Here how imy feelings now that we have to wait till next season

1- Found a great present under the holiday Tree (Watched the Episode)

2- Shook it guess what it is (Read the Books, minus 500 pages of DwD)

3- Found the tree on Fire, now having to wait till next holiday to get a new one (Next Season can't come faster)

Speaking of faster does anyone think that the show will eventually catch up to or pass the books? Was thinking that because of the expidited feeling i get when watching

  3. Ok who is the guy who walked in with Sandor Clegane.....His Drinking Buddy? the hound must think him "Harder" than Bronn

Someone Please Speculate or if there's a definite answer...... He's Blond So probably a Lannister...

I was Curious he doesn't seem to be a "Hardened" Solider like Clegane or Bronn and he stares at the empty cup in his hands so well

  4. Maybe I'll have to watch it again. After Bronn saved the Dog's life, poof he just kind of vanishes, or he was left outside the gate?

Wouldn't Bronn be commanding the Gold Cloaks , who after all have the most fighting men in KL?*

Lotta little short things like that which I would have included.

Now Lena gave a Emmy winner this episode, but I could see where many two min. could have been chipped off her screen time , still giving her a ton of stuff. Added some other dialog.

Example , the did away with Ser Imry Florent , fine, still have Davos suggest to Stannis , as in the novel to Imry, that they have Salador Sahn send one of his swift ships to recon for a trap, Stannis turns him down. I don't remember if Stannis found out about this later, but it makes Davos look like a genius.

Lucian Msamati's contract for one episode only?

Am guessing he will be Davos's rescuer first episode S3.

*I could never figure out from the books why , even under Robert, and especially after Robert, why there was not a military garrison at KL? With a competent military commander. It's not in the books that I know of. I don't count the Gold Cloaks since they seem more like the police.

Robert could have served that comander purpose, but after him , surely Tywin would have known Joffrey, even if he wasn't an idiot, was way too green. If Jamie had of been there would have fallen to him, but that's out.

I know , i know, makes Tryion predicament more dramatic ... still with the odds he could have played the same role.

It seemed most of the men Tryion led were Lannister soldiers, hard to see the Hound commanding them...nor Bronn either, they didn't really seem to have some kind of Lannister officer in charge.

Vylarr is the name of the Captain of the Red Cloaks..

  5. No, I'm pretty sure its Marmillion (or whatever he's called, Lysa's favourite singer) who gets his toung cut out.

Other small things to add: The shot of Tywin, Loras and their forces arriving at the battle was beautiful, as was the giant green fireball.

And I had almost forgot the obnoxious names Joffrey gives his swords

Ah yes Marmillion those bloody singers..

I Shouted aloud when Podrick Saved The Half, Almost Quarter, man

it's almost as if we don't need a season finale....almost

  6. Quick question about the Rains of Castamere. Were the lyrics of the song ever mentioned in the books? I always remember at feasts like Joff's wedding that the song would be played, but I don't remember a specific instance where the lyrics were spelt out. Anyone have an idea?

In A Storm of Swords An Arya Chapter I Can't recall which , Tom o'Seven Strings (who had his tongue cut out on the TV show) sings to Arya.

  7. In No Particular Order and i left out other scenes which may alter the result

+1 Jamie and Brienne (always Liked their interactions in the books)

+1 Point Robb and Talisa?? (the speech she gave, although a well done "Sex Scene")

+1 the Arya, Gendry, Hot Pie escape (Like the feel of it... Felt Spooky)

+1 Bran And Rickon Alive (Well done Cliffhanger)

+1 Cersei And Tyrion Scene (Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage For the Emmy this Season)

+1 Tyrion and Bronn (Bronn is just a great character on Screen, or all around)

+2 Stannis and Davos scene (I liked the speech Stannis gave, even thought he named him the hand early)

    +1 Rattle-shirt ( Looked good to me)

-1 (just because Joffery thinks he's tough with his little dagger)

    9/10

But if i picked some different scenes it might be lower

  8. I'm simply amazed on how well they can keep the story straight on the TV show. With the massive narrative the books offer, it's a seemingly daunting task with TV's time, budget and monetary constraints, props To Dan and D.B for putting an amazing show together, and I can only hope, and I'm sure I speak for most people who enjoy the show, we'll have many many more seasons of the show.

I enjoyed the Arya Tywin Scene I thought it was well captured, the shot of Tywins neck right out of Arya's mind like we're watching her thoughts, well shot

Could someone please get Maester Luwin a tissue and tell him "it's O.K. they're only a little crispy...Great scene and end to the episode just like the books always leaving you wanting a little bit more.
