The Trial delivered. That was awesome!

:agree: It was so random and sudden I bet a bunch of viewers weren't even paying attention to what she was saying.
Exactly. I wonder even if show viewers realize the gravity of her actions she had just confessed to.

I can't believe Jon was bested by Carl Focking Tanner.
-
And I doubt they will, but if they do cut out the Kingsmoot and Euron I'm done with the show.
A part of me kinda likes the whole Yara rescue mission thing but not at the expense of the Kingsmoot story. If they are going to have Yara turn around before reaching the Dreadfort then why not start the Kingsmoot story this episode with Balon's death?

Wow I was not expecting people to think it sucked so bad. Seriously, I DIED at the council meeting, it was the most beautiful thing ever. My baby Arya seeing GreyRobb broke my heart, and I am not hating Tyrion and Sansa. Almost the cutest thing ever, I... I think I ship them now (only in the show). And Arya finally doing the coin trick, although I don't know why she didn't tell the Hound that she killed the stableboy. The Ygritte scene was SO dumb though, they could have cut it out and just had her turn against him in the first place like they did in the books. It was super out of place. I liked the Rat Cook story.
When The Hound asked her if that was the first time she killed a man, she responded saying that was the first man. I felt she emphasized the word "man".

If they leave the GreyJoys out they mise well leave out the Martell.
I don't like what they have done. I felt that Balon should have died this episode and we should have gotten the first rumblings of a kingsmoot. Maybe even a shot of the Silence coming in.

wall of text
Good summary/review. I agree with everything.

And how great was David Bradley as Walder Frey in this episode?
Absolutely. I can't picture anyone else portraying Lord Walder like he has.

"Come fight death with me" has to be one of the best quotes before sex ever. I may have to use that one... I would then promptly get pushed off the bed and called a weirdo.

The only thing I want to nitpick over is when Cersei tells Margaery about "The Rains of Castamere". Cersei references to seeing the corpses hang above Casterly Rock, but in the books, she was not even born yet. House Reyne and Tarbeck were annihilated in 260AL and Jamie + Cersei were born in 266AL.
Who cares? I mean really?

lol. He looks so excited in the preview.
-
Seriously? He dances? I missed that in the preview.
Edmure dancing at the RW??? :smug:  :lmao:
In the preview it looks like he is being escorted by several women, for the "bedding" I would assume. He's not dancing, but he looks extremely happy.

Yep. I hated that. Sam actually built a sort of a reputation there. Now I wonder, why would the brothers listen to him at all?
This. No one is gonna believe him or Gilly. Maybe they will cut "Slayer" out all together...
-
I still don't completley grasp why Stannis has such a hard on for Robb to name him first of the 3.I would have thought Tywin would be in there before Baylon Greyjoy. I guess I need to read the books
Tywin isn't a king. Balon is a king, albeit self declared. As is Robb.

Coldhands! =D
Boom goes the dynamite!
Perfect scene. Samwell The Slayer
The only thing is though, is how is show Sam "Sam the Slayer" when there was no one but Gilly to witness it?

Barristan and Jorah... Weird scene to throw in this episode. And how is Dany ever to learn about Jorah's betrayal?
I would like to know what scene you are referring to...

Ok, can someone please explain to me why Sansa was crying at the sight of Littlefinger's ship sailing away?
She was just told that she wasn't marrying the handsome Loras Tyrell, and instead marrying Tyrion. And her only way (Littlefinger) out of Kingslanding had just sailed away.
-
I'm ok with the Loras part because (correct me if I'm wrong) TV Loras has not vowed to never love another.

They've made Arya a little soft and Maise had a little trouble with the material. Beric was awesome. Jaime and Brienne was great. I even liked Selyse, but where's the stache.
And, that Patchface song at the end sung by Shereen was erie.
Totally disagree. The kid has nailed it so far. Great acting imo.
-
Who else teared up when Arya told Gentry that she could be his family?
I did.... Maise's acting is top notch. Loved the "Go to hell!" bit.
-
Great episode! LOVED the bath scene!

8/10
Dracarys was only half as epic as I expected, but it was still pretty awesome.

^ Not sure how fish scales would protect you from the bitter cold lol. Everything about the Riverrun scenes was awesome, including the armor. I really liked how when Blackfish grabbed the bow he glanced up at the Tully flag right before he fired. Really nice touch.

Locke is very loyal to Roose, but he is a bit wild I think. Something about Jaime mentioning his father, wealth, etc really struck a bad note with Locke causing him to take his hand. I think Roose will end up killing him for this.

I guess later in the season we'll get a scene where the goat herd comes back with his child's bones. I thought we were gonna get it this episode.
