Oh please he was going to sacrifice a kid in the book and had to be talked out of it. He wasn't about justice, he was a self righteous prick. Davos defying him like that does not deserve the you were right all along lets be best buds again reaction that people seem to be craving. Show Stannis chose the realm over the boy.

He had to be talked in to it in the first place. The only way to do that was for Mel to convince him that millions of people would die if he didn't sacrifice the boy.

Stannis is the same character he was in the books.

This line from Stannis towards Melisandre should have been in there.

Davos was imprisoned by Stannis in the books. He is also freed later for no other reason than being loyal and giving honest advice.

It was Melisandre that imprisoned Davos after she saw him coming to kill her in the flames. Stannis doesn't see Davos until about half way through the book.
