Shaggydog Stark
How did the (Greyjoy faction) ironmen gain possession of Moat Cailin? I thought that Ned Stark bannermen had secured that fortress good? If IIRC, Moat Cailin was held lightly based on the belief that it could not be taken from the south but the ironmen didn't take it from the south but from the west. Mattyp
Exactly. They went in the 'back door'.
lyvyathan
There's a back door? I thought the place was surrounded by bog and quicksand.
zmflavius
There's a back door? I thought the place was surrounded by bog and quicksand. But the northern approach is relatively weak to attack. That's how the ironmen took it.
