Valkyrja Posted May 21, 2012 Share Posted May 21, 2012 He's saying he killed Joffrey to hurt Jaime.Jaime has just revealed that the whole Tysha incident *was* as it seemed --- in other words, she was NOT a whore. Tywin lied to Tyrion, and Jaime and everyone else went along with the lie.This lie has caused Tyrion a great deal of emotional pain throughout his life.I took him lying to Jaime about killing Joffrey as him 'getting back' at Jaime in some small way. Obviously, Jaime thought he was doing a kindness by telling the truth to Tyrion finally, but Tyrion is not in a good place right now, and he lashes out at his brother in this way.That's how I read it at least. :)Edited to add: Littlefinger was definitely in on the plot to kill Joffrey, but *who* actually placed the poison in his goblet is as yet unclear.
