SilentRoamer
Picked up The Broken God (A Requiem for Homo Sapiens #1) yesterday because the blurb sounded great. Goodreads has some realistic looking reviews and the series has a good rating - it seems to be quite polarizing overall. Any fans of his on here? Bastard of Godsgrace
I really loved Neverness - which also had many other fans on this board back then - and I think you really should start with it. Requiem for the Homo Sapiens is a sequel trilogy which is basically more of the same, and if you like Neverness, it is worth reading as well. Zindell also wrote a fantasy series, but it is rather weak.
SilentRoamer
Thanks for the response. I did a bit of a google and it does look as if I need to start with Nerverness. Neverness is listed as Requiem for homo sapiens #0. Go figure!
Peadar
Yes, Neverness and its sequels were wonderful, but the fantasy series was woeful.
