  1. I've been re-watching the whole show from Season 1 to get ready for Season 6 and something that struck me as odd (and a wee bit annoying) regarding Episode 8 is that Braavos was shown in the opening credits while not having a single scene from there, and yet the Eyrie was left out despite having lots of scenes from there (and the Vale). Trivial maybe, but these kind of things annoy me. Especially since the very point of the opening credits has been to show which locations we'll be visiting in each particular episode (with the exception of King's Landing, Winterfell, The Wall and whichever Essos location Daenerys is at currently, since they'll appear no matter what).
  2. Greetings and Salutations! I instantly fell in love with Game of Thrones when the show first started airing back in 2011 (I have to admit, I had not heard of the ASoIaF universe before then, despite being a Fantasy geek in general) and have been eagerly awaiting each season every year since then. House Stark, and Arya in particular, have been my favorite things about the show since the very first episode. Other favorite characters are Tyrion, Sandor, Jaime, Pod, Bronn, Davos, Jaqen, Jon, Ygritte, Sam and Tywin. Something I absolutely love about GoT is how it can make you like or even love characters you once hated. Perfect examples for me would be Jaime and Tywin - characters I did not like one bit in Season 1, but they both won me over in Season 2. I even went from really disliking Sansa in Season 1 to caring about her from Season 2 and onwards. I'm not a big fan of desert/exotic/tropic locations, so I mainly find the Westeros storylines the most interesting to watch and follow. The only Essos locations I've enjoyed so far have been Braavos, Volantis and Valyria (and I guess to some extent the Dothraki Sea). Give me a northern landscape and environment any day! I've read the first book, and want to read them all obviously, but I've decided to wait until the show is over and done with to continue with the rest. Seeing as they've departed from the books more and more with each season, I like being oblivious to the changes and just enjoy the show for what it is, rather than sit there and be all angry or disappointed because this or that was scrapped, or worse: replaced/changed (something I experienced way too much when it came to a show like True Blood). This way, I sort of get the best of both worlds. I get to enjoy the show fully until the end, and afterwards enjoy the story as it should have been while still being able to appreciate the show. Wow, that turned into a small essay. Good to be here!
