  1. I think the Theon sex scene was just to point out the kind of torture the bastard of Bolton put him through. The scene was great at establishing what kind of twisted individual that Ramsay really is.
  2. Sorry this is off topic. One thing I noticed that Martin wrote about that hasn't been mentioned is Rob dispatching a force North to prepare for the liberation of the North, pending Walder Freys alliance. Maege Mormont, Glover, and I think two other Lords under his banner. Their whereabouts after the Red Wedding are unknown. Where do you think Martin will go with this sizeable, yet forgotten force? Most of Rob's banner men went with Lord Bolton, however none of the dispatched forces have been mentioned as folding in with the rest. Maybe I have over looked something, please let me know what you all think.
  3. I haven't read through all the threads, so I'm not sure if anybody has posted this question. Seeing how the Blackfish is on route to the Red Wedding, do you fellow viewers think they will allow him to be killed? He holds River Run until Jamie convinces him to surrender. He escapes during the night before they enter the castle, which leads me to believe that Martin has more in store for the uncle of Catlyn Stark. Due to the changing of certain story lines I'm wondering if this will alter Martin's original direction, and flip the unfinished books completely.
  4. Question: was Stannis being apprehended at the end by the castle wall defenders when the men were in full retreat or was it his own men ushering him away? I wasn't sure about that because of the position he was in; it would make it nigh impossible for him to reach the boats for an escape. In any case if they did capture him that would completely alter events later in the books. I will have to sing the same chorus as you all in saying that was by far the best episode ever. The only way to top that is to show the wildlings lay siege to the wall in a future season to come.
  5. Well Martin hinted towards Stannis and Melissandre having sex in the book, as vague as it was. Naturally when I saw it wasn't surprised. Though the actor for Stannis in my opinion doesn't fit the bill due to the fact Martin always mentions his defined jaw and the constant grinding of the teeth, he doesnt seem like an uptight man with Robert envy. Why doesn't the show ever show Davos playing with his finger pouch, that's a major part of his character. Plus Arya revealing herself made more sense in the book then it does in the show. Being to eager to trust isn't part of her character. I don't think they will have Shireen in the show because when Stannis and Melisandre are about to have sex she mentions to Stannis that Selyse gave him a stillborn. Unfortunate too for Davos he only has one son now and he's the one that's going to die in the " green fire." Last but not least Rakharo dieing was a shame, isn't he the one that leads them to the deserted village where they get respite from the desert elements
