  1. Do we need Category:Dornishmen when we already have Category:Characters from Dorne (which fits with Characters by region)?
  2. Is the title "Mountain King" used in the books? I haven't found it in AFFC.
  3. Since George has new text coming out in The Book of Swords, do you want to put a warning up on the wiki not to include new info yet?
  4. And from Cersei VIII So Merchant A went to Essos and brought back Maggy the Frog. Their son, Merchant B, became a petty lord for Tytos.
  5. Thanks! Would you happen to know if there are issues with logging in to the wiki? I can log into the forum without complication, but often can't log into the wiki despite trying with multiple browsers and networks. Cookies are working for other sites (like the forum), but the first few wiki attempts display: If I try again, it temporarily locks me out.
  6. I updated his article with greater detail. Separately, do we need a Category:Dornishmen when we already have Category:Characters from Dorne?
  7. I tried adding a few images (1, 2, 3) to Ned's article, but the preview displayed this error message for them: "Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination". I didn't have issues adding other images to the article, however. edit: same with 4
  8. My suggestion would be to keep Euron's battles in the WOTFK template for the meantime, until TWOW clarifies how they are considered in-universe. The Targaryen Invasion template seems extraneous at this time.
  9. The new articles look good! @Rhaenys_Targaryen, should we even have a Battle of the Redwyne Straits at this time? The battle has not occurred in the books yet, and AFAIK GRRM has not mentioned it in interviews like he did with the battle in the ice. This article also uses the text from a recording at Balticon (which GRRM expressly asked attendees not to do). Ran previously gave approval for notes as references, not the actual text
  10. I don't think we have enough information for separate articles at this time. I agree, the wiki should include houses which can be sourced.
  11. While it's not confirmed, I would be surprised if Forrest was not Fool Frey since TWOIAF states Forrest was once a suitor.
  12. The referenced chapters are AGOT Eddard VI and AFFC Jaime IV, not AGOT Eddard XI and ASOS Jaime IV. Ned sees Beric as "a dashing figure on a black courser." and Strongboar recalls Beric as "a comely lad in a pretty cloak, he was. Slight and callow."
  13. The closest I can find is from ASOS Tyrion I:
  14. Since Winterfell hasn't come under siege (yet?), it might be good to remove the battlebox altogether until further plot is revealed.
  15. Looks like it was added with this edit...
  16. Thanks! The wiki has an article on his second mistress (the one recalled by Cersei in AFFC and ADWD), but not the first.
  17. When is Tytos Lannister's first mistress mentioned?
  18. Right, according to SSM: This also gives Martin leeway when the numbers don't match up. I interpret "five hundred knights and three thousand men-at-arms and crossbowmen" to be 3,500, not 6,500. It probably would be better to avoid committing to definite numbers and instead briefly explain the options.
  19. I added that with some other excerpts to the article's discussion page.
  20. The "Age of the Hundred Kingdoms" article begins with, "The Age of the Hundred Kingdoms was the broad period of Westerosi history set between the Andal Invasion and the Targaryen Conquest." TWOIAF's chapter on "The Conquest" states: The Mudds, the last First Men dynasty to rule the riverlands, were conquered by Andals. The other mentioned dynasties ruled earlier, so the "Hundred Kingdoms" era would have begun before the Andals arrived. TWOIAF chapter on "The Stormlands" explains that Massey kings also lived before Andals conquered the stormlands.
  21. fyr asks here about Leo Tyrell being from a cadet branch. From what I can tell, GRRM hasn't used "cadet" and instead refers to senior and junior/lesser branches. Should we change that terminology on the wiki?
  22. The "Slaver's Bay" map from TLOIAF includes KRAZAAJ HAS (GHAZDAQ), while the "The Known World" map from TLOIAF has KRAZAAJ HAS (GHARDAQ). The app also uses Ghardaq instead of Ghazdaq, so Ghazdaq was probably a misprint.
