  1. I really wasn't the biggest Bolton fan in the books...but I love the dynamic between these actors. Roose/Ramsay really aren't anything like I pictured them but it's not stopping me from enjoying their scenes...I can't wait to see all the Bolton/Frey/Manderly antics play out.
  2. I know these threads are equally for fun and speculation as well as discussion, but man...some of you REALLY reach with the foreshadowing. Really good episode...my biggest gripe is Brans wig doesn't seem to be growing as quickly as he is.
  3. Why do people think Roose is running from Cat? Isn't it glaringly obvious that the the charade is over and he's hauling ass to avoid becoming a pin cushion?
  4. Since they have several times used music more modern than medieval...having a "punk" song that was way more folky than punk anyway is a complete non issue...we should have nitpicked probably 15 of the 23 credit song choices. Great choice. Having some ambient lute after something as epic as that ending would have been completely anti climactic.
  5. He wasn't swearing by anything...I read that as him speaking figuratively. It's be like some non-believer in frustration saying some thing like " I swear to god you're driving me mad!"...it's more of a cultural statement. It could have also been read as him wanting the kingslayer so bad he's service a religion he didn't believe. Could have been any number of things besides him believing in the seven. Robbs however was either a giant blunder or them trying to make his character even more dislike-able than they're making him by disrespecting his family and vows further.
  6. Can you imagine that toolbag as head of the 'watch? He shouldn't be running the stables.
  7. There's already a thread about this stating the preview was removed from the second broadcast. There are 3 more episodes already named and displayed in this forum. There are three more episode synopsis available on the internet. Highly doubt that it's anything else than an HBO flub. In fact, knowing HBO there may even be a two week wait for one of those episodes, they normally skip holiday weekends (the 27th).
  8. of all the loose plotlines, dropped balls and missing elements...are we really gravitating around Rickons nuts? They were looking for the kids. Rickon has been shown several times eating walnuts, there has been talk of Rickon eating walnuts, they lost the trail and then found walnuts...they have to attempt to show that the trail has been picked up again. That's it, it's not anything more complicated than that. it's not supposed to make sense...they needed a quick 2 second plot device...they dont have time for anything else since the show is literally bursting at the seams right now with storylines they cant keep up with in 10 episodes. While there is a possible return to the crypts I doubt they even have time for that at this point. Blackwater is 2 episodes away and we're going to have to add Stannis in next week on top of everything else to lead into that. I'd bet we dont even see the boys until episode 10. There just simply is not enough time to fit all this stuff in.
  9. ...and the Dagmer/Ramsay thing...cripes already. Ramsay/Boltons capture/sack Winterfell and take Theon hostage...we don't need to see an actual Ramsay, next season they can cast him and we learn he's been torturing Theon. I just explained the whole plot twist in one sentence so I'm sure the writers can do much better w/o having to turn Ramsay into some super spy who infiltrated the Iron Born at an early age just to take Winterfell in case there was a war where Ned Starks head was taken and the Iron Born had a window to take Winterfell w/ the newly returned prince Theon who they just assumed would be a weak minded, easily influenced pawn to Bolton schemes. How could that ever make sense?
  10. Because Rickon has been crushing walnuts all season and Osha specifically talked about Rickon eating them "Rickon can't survive on walnuts"..."I'm fine!" or something of that nature during their lamb scene. Not sure how much more time we could have spent on walnuts this season to give that scene more meaning lol.
  11. I don't see the Jaime from that episode caring enough about anything to do any vowing. It almost would make sense that she takes the hand at this point to impress things on him. Where the hell are they going to fit Vargo in at this point...storylines and characters are dropping like flies.
  12. It was pretty obvious in the books that Brienne was in love w/ Renly so I don't see what's so odd about her words...
  13. I think they could easily accomplish this by having Osha and Hodor w/ Bran and Rickon until the Wall/ Coldhands...then have Osha split w/ Rickon to Skagos. After all, Rickon just "disappears" after a while...what would be the harm in having him tag along w/ Bran as an extra while the wander around the North, pre-Wall crossing. Eliminates the Reeds (regrettably) and gives filler for those secondary characters until Coldhands.
  14. Did Summer seems smaller (normal size) than Grey' and Ghost have appeared? Not a huge issue but when I saw the face was really hoping to see them pan back to a behemoth on Brans bed and she looked normal size.
  15. actually...you specifically mentioned Jaime and Cersei...which happened in episode one. you're just wrong...it's not even opinion. 90% of the scenes with Ros have served almost no purpose whatsoever and theyve been pretty damn hetero.
