  1. Im going 7, would have been a 6 but they killed Ros, thereby earning a full bonus point. I loathe the wall, Sam Tarly scenes (again with zero sense of urgency), the tyrion and cersei whining, and the sansa/loras. Im ok with the gendry/edric merging but i sti dont like the completely non-grey portrayal of Mel. Maisie's scenes, tywin, boltons, varys and lf were enough to make it a good episode imo and ros' manner of death put it around 7.5. Half a point lower than the last 2 episodes.
  2. I was a bit disappointed by naked Ygritte too....too skinny
  3. 7, the absolute butchery of Robb Starks story forced me to deduct from what was a 9 episode before. Very much disliked the Stannis scenes as well. He lets Selyse keep her dead fetuses in jars? I think not. Plus his Davos in the dungeon is crap. Every other scene was great imo but the Robb stark storyline is embarrassing.
  4. I gave an 8, my highest rating this season. Didnt like Varys and QoT, Varys and Ros but now I want to change to a 9. I really enjoyed all the other scenes.
  5. 7. I'm extremely disappointed with the scenes North of the wall. The NW guys don't even seem anywhere near that desperate and the Mance scenes are soooo meh. They really aren't creating a sense of urgency to me as a viewer. When I read the books I felt like freakin white walkers were chasing ME! These guys are just strolling around. How about some panic????? Maybe some guys getting picked off by wights, anything. As far as Mance, everything seems so rushed. The scene was so short, the story of his host and Mance's coloful history and personality is all but lost by this point. The only thing I like is that we're obviously closing in on the wildlings south of the wall, which has so much potential. I"m digging Dany, KL, Blackfish, Cat, Brotherhood/Arya/Hound. I love Theon's arc but I find the hunt scene very curious. Why the hell are they having him kill Boltons?
  6. This right here. Its maddenning, just get it over with He's just aa bad and getting worse than what they did to Jon Snow last yr.
  7. 7, up from 4. Loathe the Young Wolf blundering around and Mance's backstory changes. Well, I dont like tv Mance at all. I just dont get the Rob story. First you bring your entire army to lay siege to an empty castle then you backtrack wth them for a funeral. How lost are these writers? At least have an idea that makes some sense if you're going to assassinate Rob Stark's character.
  8. Why take the risk??? Let her know when she needs to know
  9. I thought she did. Regardless, Sansa is clearly not a player and has done zero to really earn a trusted spot in LF's plans. That wasn't really confiding his plans about the hound. C'mon, he talked shit about him to her.
  10. But then the north holds riverrun and hh (a stones throw from KL). They also won at oxcross and hold the north and the twins (tywin hasnt even sent his letters yet). Not buying it.
  11. Why would the Mountain leave when we last saw him Tywin told him to hold HH? I dont see why LF would trust Sansa with those types of plans. He knows she ratted Ned out. Now he thinks she's going to be able to keep his secret because she remembered he said se was a bad liar? He knkws she is, why reveal before its necessary. And why travel around with Ros, leaving her to talk to confidants of other players in the game? As far as Jon, i dont get why mance would care, id be more worried about some dude flip flopping over the politics of his lord. MAnce knows the vows and that the nw isnt in the business of assisting the others.
  12. Here here Mountain that Posts!!!! Shae/Lf/baelish/Sansa is all yuks. Terrible terrible tv. No suspense, minimal cleverness. No imagination on the show's creators side.
  13. This is where most of my problems stem from. The HH scene made no sense. The Ghost thing and Jon's reasoning for turning his coat don't make sense. LF and Ros don't make sense within the context of the show.
  14. Because Davos wasnt there, so how was he to procure counsel from him? It was out of character for all 3 characters. Mel knows danger to herself, Stannis never lost respect for Davos, and Davos doesnt act rashly.
  15. 4/10. If there were 10 scenes, I may have liked 4. Loved Tywin and Tyrion. Loved Astapor (minus the immediate selmy reveal). Liked the Margery scenes. Very much disliked Harranhal. There was no explanation to anything. Rushed and added nothing to the episode. Everything north of the wall. Opening scene was meh. Sam was surrounded by wights and ww's last time we saw him now this happens? Jon Snow continues to be a ruined plotline to me. Lf and sansa was so lame. People have 1000s of spies in their employ and he just takes her to a dock? They could have done something a bit more creative. Please please please kill Ros!!! Margery was good wasnt all that impressed with their dinner conversation. Davos and Stannis, dont even get me started on Davos and his feeble attempt to kill Mel. I really dont like D&D's interpertations of Cersei, Jon, Stannis, and Davos at all.
  16. A flagon of Arbor Gold would hit the spot

    1. The Great Walrus

      The Great Walrus

I'd prefer a mug of Northern Mead myself, but to each his own...

  17. Cant really do either though. Leave highgarden or KL undefended? Actually, sounds like a Mace Tyrell plan to me!!!
  18. Yes. And the Tyrells will not march anywhere at full strength because part of there army will be heading to Storms End
  19. They wouldnt have flown dragon banners all the way from pyke. Prob raised them before the battle to intimidate and show their allegiance.
  20. With this wild card, i can hypothesize that supporting a king/queen than worships different Gods wont be accepted by the militant religious extremists no? Even Varys can't keep a regent in power if they have none of their own support.
  21. Well, there are ravens on board that Victarion hasnt realy been keeping track of. Maybe she can write.
  22. That was a different ruby she gave to mance. The ruby was still on Mance's hand and her Ruby was glowing when she removed the Rattleshirt glamors in her chambers.
  23. I dont think for a second that Doran will abandon Dany over it. He had to KNOW this arrangement was a huge longshot. All this Martell/Aegon/Stark talk is out of bounds to me. Whoever comes out of the south will not be able to partner with someone who worships the old gods because of Cersei's dumb ass. The faith militant is a wildcard i havent even seen considered yet in this thread.
  24. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive been laughing all the way through this thread at the Tyrell/Aegon alliance speculation. Everyone is talking about "how would the Tyrells switch sides?". Duh, they are in power right now, you cant switch from the top position; or wouldn't. Its not even an option worth considering. They control a majority of the small council, the largest army in KL, have the most money (arguably), and the most fertile lands. So they are goinvg to bend the knee? Laughable.
