  1. A lot of really good points posted here, especially the defense by Dio Forel (ill spare you the long quote for the 7th or 8th time, but really well put) So glad i had the chance to watch alone before my unsullied gf was off work. As soon as Talisa said "Eddard", the tears started flowing, and the cat would have been out of the bag. All in all, stellar! Granted, they could have done this or that to make it more like the books, but it came through gloriously. Also, im on the wagon with more Rickon and Osha screen time. Yes, i know they arent mentioned for close to 3 books, but that didnt stop Theon from making an appearance. I have a feeling theyll have great or smalljon foster Rickon like a true northener. "We're not Southrons!"
  2. Har! The nudity was not necessary, but not uncalled for. Would anyone have gotten anything extra out of the scene/episode had she not been naked? That scene managed to tell quite a bit of story. Davos trying to hold back stannis, stannis thinking that hes casting a spell, when really Mel already knows that these 3 will die, but wants stannis to think that its thanks to R'llor (shit, how is that spelled? Lol) Mel seduces. Its how she gets what she wants. It was the best way to keep gendry calm. Guards holding him down would have freaked him out, whereas the way it was done, kinda put the idea in his head "what are you doing...? ...am i going to like this? :)" That being said, if she wanted him to think we was getting laid, she had to take her clothes off. Who has sex with clothes on? Besides that, even though the scene is not in the books, they want to keep the same feel as the source. And lets face it, in that world, sexy-time is common place. I quite liked the episode. But i havnt had much bad to say about the whole season (theons stuff? All great). Not how i pictured darrio, thought hed look more like crixus, but thats not worth complaining about. Some hair dye wouldnt have hurt, though. Agreed with what someone said earlier... The game of thrones is played between the lines, so cersei talking ti marg like that was unexpected. But since we dont get the personally thoughts on screen, there had to be someway to get her hatred across.
  3. Very true. The only exiting stuff is at the wall, the Darkstar stuff, and greenseer stuff
  4. I suppose... But that would take away Cat's last "fuck you" to Walder. Wasnt Aegon her last ditch bargaining tool?
  5. Not what i pictured him looking like at ALL, however the Misfits actor is doing a great job. Its such a character jump for him, Simon to Ramsay. This was THE character i was looking forward to, and im not dissapoonted one bit.
  6. Oh... Cant say i recall. Must have been a tyrion pov with an audience?
  7. Someone pointed out earlier (like 10 pages ago, dont remember who) that it was strange that Tywin wasnt concerned about the dragons. Im guessing he mentioned the size of the last dragons, assuming thats the size of danys dragons. Im sure it takes a long time for news to reach weateros from that far east. Last news he got about dragons was probably from qarth, when they were cat size. That being said, the Joff/tywin scene was excellent. As it began, i said to my girlfriend (an unsullied, as this forum calls them) "holy shit, this wasnt in the books, but its going to be phenominal!" And it certainly delivered. Perfect balance of putting his grandson in his place, while remembering that hes speaking to a king. Speculation about talisa... Seems that there are no westerlings, so maybe talisa is a mix of jeyne and her mother? Hooking up with robb, genuine love, but still conspiring with tywin. I wouldnt be at all surprised if the show projectes some internal struggle for her, when it comes time to follow through with the plan. And the audience will be informed of ramsays identity when roose presents the starks with theons finger skin, imo
  8. You mean leaving KL? He didnt call ger jeyne because she resembles westerling, he called her that because shes jeyne poole
  9. Everyones so upset about the Theon arc... Before this season started, and it was just casting confirmation/speculation, i was most excited for Ramsay. Then the "rumor" surfaced that its creepy Simon (Iwan in Misfists), and i couldnt be happier. Whenever hes on screen, i just want more! Theon on the other hand.... Alfie talks funny. :P
  10. When it zoomed out from sam and gilly in the woods, i was thinking "ooooooooooo Coldhands!" Brain fart, can someone remind me what signifigance the "give my regards to Robb" quote has?
