  1. I like their innocent way and their sweet world view. Skeletons being able to move? I mean, yes it is magic, but without muscles and tendons, you cannot move. How do the bones even stick together? And with no eyes, how is the being that controls them able to see its target? Oh, honey.
  2. the skeletons looked like the one from a childrens movie. Not really scary. And the eye gouging from Hodor..err yap. More funny than scary. Keeping it that they rise from the ice was good. The cotf looked good. The magic arrows should have been explained. An Meera should have used the obsidian she got from Sam
  3. OMG LOL waht are you all complaining? Like best episode ever. 3. And no score higher. I could digest no Stones, but every fucking scene was horrible. No meaningful dialogue, no decent cliffhangers(the ship scenes are not that much of a cliffhanger. they could have done that better) No Stannis chant. What the fuck? Jon Snow just rides out alone in the forest to burn Arwen from LOTR? Hound scene was way overdone. 10 minutes for him dying? Thanks for that. Lannister dialogues were crap. No brother moment. No white book entry. Teh Mountain that shuts his mouth. Brienne and Arya started good, but ended in a cliche Arya? Arya? Arya? Dora the explorer or what? Bloodraven was good. Children of the forest were pretty good. Weirwood was not really scary (the cave) and had no real aura. The death of Jojen killed like 200 theories. I could take that positive and negative, Bran is no cannibal, but also...Jojen is pretty useless now. Why not just stab him(liked that) and take him in the cave? Err..ya. 66 minutes. they could have covered these plot lines in 45. Oh, I liked the Stannis army. Looked good, but they made it crap right after that with the senseless killing and then "Uh, ah, me the king, take them prisoners alive. Uh ah. I am so proud I have to smile now and make you all shine. yay" Melisandre cliffhanger was the only one. And done good. End of rant.
  4. Sounds like a Family Guy cutaway gag.
  5. But how will he make his way through solid gold? That is utterly impossible. ;)
  6. How was the Jon Arryn reveal clumsy? It was perfect. Perfect timing, perfect context, extraordinary delivery, and Baelish's reaction was great. This was the highlight of the episode because it was delivered so casually and not in an epic way. This is how it should have been.
  7. Can't argue with that. I just watched the scene a couple times and always here the other. But your homage was listed five posts or so before you, I guess.
  8. Yes. And he actually suggested Stormbreaker.
  9. I wonder what Jon would have done with the women if they would have said "Ahh... we will fight for Mance. See you in a month" Surely he would have been so proud of himself, saving these people. i could only imagine Thorne next week. T"So you let the wives go?" J"Yeah" T"Why?" J"Seemed the right thing" T"What was that talk a week ago that we have to kill the mutineers as they have information of extreme value to Mance, do you think the wives didn't catch that?" J"Shit. Guys, let's ride again" sorry, I like Jon and all, but that was..a sly move
  10. Jon is about to be killed, Craster's wife stabs Karl, retreats, Jon suddenly stands up and kills Karl "Are you alright?" hahahahaha. She didn't seem the damsel in distress.
  11. I am usually not a hater, especially not against the show, but that was just an awful episode. Heavily disappointed. Especially with all the hype about it
  12. I don't get the high votes. People that was an horrible episode. The only good stuff was in KL and the Vale. How can this episode get so much praise, and others are so heavily criticised?
  13. weakest episode ever. and where was the shit they said would be in it? Fight in deepest mud? Gory scene?
  14. It might be an in-universe homage... Robb Stark and Robert Strong. Stark means in german "strong". So, basically Robert Strong=Stark
  15. Highgarden and House Tyrell Sky Garden in Ireland, created by James Turrell, a famous american artist.
  16. could Howland Reed and his seat that is kinda moving be considered as homage to Howl's moving Castle? Howl is also a magician and always tries to be neutral in terms of war.
  17. Pycelle Pucelle (often used as other name for Jeanne d'Arc, especially in the area where she was born) means virgin and maid, but also prostitute and slut. Fits the Grandmaester very well. Not only does he frequent them, he also is one. And furthermore, maesters are not allowed to have sexual relationships, so this name makes him hypocritical...he should be a virgin, but he is a slut. Also, Domremy...Domeric. For the name fanatics out there, like me :) Domremy-la-Pucelle. Home town of Jeanne d'Arc.
  18. It was yesterday I first got the Arthur Dayne and his sword = King Arthur... I feel quite dumb. Especially because the poster who enlightened me, did it using "Arthur and his special sword"as reference to his penis. which I find interesting..sword of the morning. What author gives such a line !? Ser Arthur Dayne and his sword of the morning. I wonder now who really had something with whom at the "Tower of Joy"...another sexual reference ha :D
  19. Val Dalla Valhalla Valkyria Valyria *badunz*
  20. Daenerys and Jon Snow, believed to be the true heirs, beloved and good in their actions, then suddenly comes another claimant, who has nothing yet done, but apparently a way better claim...only to be proven to be fraud... Little Lord Fauntleroy anybody ?
  21. Has it been said ? Herrmann's saga./ Arminius. Basically the exact same story as we get with Mance. German boy gets raised by Romans and then goes back and unites the tribes to fight against the legions. All around the infamous Limes in Germany, the roman wall against the "wildlings", german tribes. Today Arminius/Herrmann is shown as roman soldier with a distinctive winged helmet, a symbol for the god Hermes. Herrmann is considered the Father of the Nation in Germany. So like Mance with his winged helmet. Raised by the NW and then deserted to unite the Free Folk against the NW. Though Herrmann did not fear ice zombies rising in the german forests..;)
