  1. I mostly HATED that episode! SO much WASTE, The Great Waste was prominent! Tyrion was like "Bla bla bla talking Tyrion not saying anything..." then the scene with the High Septon talking to Tommen was like..."ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ " The opening scene when Jon awakens and talks with Davos and Mel was supremely ANTI CLIMACTIC....Oh then we see some close ups of Dead young angry Olly and Dead mean from nooses....right, so, THAT was not gratuitous. Yeah, then Dany Dany, Dany, BOOOORRRRRINNNNNNNNG!!!!!!!! UCH!!! The ONLY scene worth ANYTHING was seeing baby Rickon as a pre teen and lovely Shaggy Dog's head...but, since there was NO lead up, I felt nothing. I was jon snow dead inside seeing that, mostly. OH! The Tower of Joy...right....that was STUPID. The bottom line....David & Dan BY NOW should be FINE writers. They've had 6 freakin' years wirting scripts, with GRRM, and his material; They suck and they will never ever be very good. That's the way I see it. IMHO
  2. I gave it a 7/10 because I enjoyed most of it. *SPOILERS* to follow (if that's necessary) I feel like anything "revealed" is probably something I knew about anyway, such as Melissandre, that was obvious, I knew that was going to happen as soon as she started, "Mirror mirror on the wall..." and started touching the ruby necklace, duh. Of COURSE Jon Snow is going to be resurrected. I knew that when I read it in the books and Mel is there at the Wall in the books, so THAT seems obvious to me. I was PISSED at first about What they have done with the Dornish Master Plan, but then again, FINE. Let them just do a stupid thing like they did and leave it alone. I love Dorne in the books, it's fine that they should make so they don't have to write about it anymore. D&D are SO much more in their own minds then they are. Well, actually, in the non book community they're loved. OK let them be. IDC I will say, I wasn't expecting Brienne to save Sansa, but when she did, I realized, OF COURSE she's gonna, and that scene did indeed rock my feels!!
  3. I gave it a 9 though it probably was more of an 8. I mean the production value is supreme but it's so hard to separate my expectations as a book reader with my tastes as a TV watcher. I'm not angry about no appearance of Lady Stoneheart, but I'm a tad disappointed. I suspect she'll be brought in later. I really liked Stannis' arrival. In fact, dare I confess...I felt more excited about his arrival and conquest there on the show than in the books. I'm not keen on Stannis in the books. His insistence for self importance and self rightious arrogance makes me want to punch him in the balls. All in all the episode was really good, I must confess at the end it felt a bit lacklustre for me. My non book reading husband thought it was the bomb though so.
  4. well... yeah, it is known...except it's not been confirmed yet.
  5. OK this was posted in my other (no pun intended) group: "Gilly was crying. “Me and the babe. Please. I’ll be your wife, like I was Craster’s. Please, ser crow. He’s a boy, just like Nella said he’d be. If you don’t take him, they will.” “They?” said Sam, and the raven cocked its black head and echoed, “They They They” “The boy’s brothers,” said the old woman on the left. “Craster’s sons. The white cold’s rising out there, crow. I can feel it in my bones. These poor old bones don’t lie. They’ll be here soon, the sons.”"- ASOS, Samwell
  6. yeah I've read that a few months ago I think. silly...but who knows...anything could be. lol My fave crackpot theory after R+L=JS which is so old now its lost it's novelty, is the one about Howland and what's her name from Dorne being the parents of Meera and Jojen.
  7. this is cool Crackpot Theorist... "the name "Brân" translates from Welsh as "Crow""
  8. I like this crackpot theory...but I must confess, I'm keen on most crackpot....theories.
  9. yes yes, thanks for reminding me of this...is this a story told by Old Nan?
  10. Please someone explain why The guy with the vampire finger nails turning the baby into a what? a white walker looks like an Ice Devil?
  11. the night king fell in love with an Other? So are they genderless or is it a gay love story? that would be kind of random. I can not wrap my brain around the difference between the "other's", the "wights" & the "white walkers"
  12. I agree. we keep reading him saying he better "catch up". I wonder if he's feeling resentful to the writers but can't express anything but support. the whole thing makes me uncomfortable quite frankly. it's one thing to veer off the story but before the series has concluded? idk
  13. now that you mention it....I think you're right. I think you're definitely onto something with Hodor...that feels very much like a foreshadowing something important for Hodor to come.
  14. in the book he's about 9 I think or is it 11? Maergery is 15
  15. so the lord of light and the others are like Yin and Yang? Also, sure, I figured the babies weren't being killed exactly, but...I thought they might be food for the white walkers, who are not others (?) and not wights(?)...I can't seem to wrap my brain around this stuff in the books and now this fanfiction/TWOW spoiler.. I'm not sure what to think? it's difficult for me to say I like this new direction, I feel completely disoriented. seriously, WTF was happening at Crasters? I just kept saying What is Ghost doing int hat cage???
